Everyone in hardcore uses cold blooded apparently....

Last night I got my care package-a precision airstrike...zero kills

Then i got a sentry gun...zero kills

Then I got my Pave Low...zero kills

All three killstreak rewards, and ZERO kills with them. Hahaha...what a pain.

Anybody know if they're going to launch an online stat website for mw2?

I highly doubt it'll happen but it'd be nice.

There's really no killstreak that's great for HC. If you decide to go AC-130 or Chopper Gunner you run the risk of shooting your teammates. I'd probably go with Precision Airstrike, Stealth Bomber, and Nuke or something (although I'd never get said nuke).

And even the airstrikes are hit and miss.

oh well, i'd rather miss out on the killstreaks and have people that (to me, so far at least) seem more mature to play with.

I'd LOVE to play regular deathmatch with people who i enjoyed playing with...it just never seems to happen.

Maybe HC would be a good way to get the "10 kills in a row without any killstreaks equipped" challenge. It might not be easy to get 10 in a row in HC, but at least you wouldn't be missing out on anything by not having killstreak bonuses.

I don't have as many annoying people playing against me as you'd think. Every once in a while I get the spoiled whiney kid(s) or the singing guy, most of the time it's good though.

I don't think it'd be any easier than normal TDM. You're as vulnerable as they are.

I find it's easier to string kills together in HC than it is in regular mode. What he's saying is that it's much easier to justify not using any killstreak's in HC than in regular mode.

Always. My grenades do nothing but tick people, no kills.

I find the semtex to be more useful than regular 'nades.

I was playing on quarry and there was a dude camping on an awning in the shadows, of course with akimbo 1887s, just mowing down people that would walk through the garage door. He got me once, and figured he would still be there when I spawned. I walked up to the door, aimed at where he was hiding and threw my Semtex, which probably stuck right next to his head. A regular grenade would of just bounced off the wall and fallen down, but my Semtex got him.

Plus, I don't have to worry about people throwing them back :)

Another place the semtex is cool is to get the people camped out in the back of the place in Terminal. They are often hard to get because its dark and they get you pretty quickly if they are good, but with semtex you can throw it up from the back stairs and have it stick right above them.

Is that a glitch, or did they mean to let you get up there?

Looks intentional - that angled platform at the end was too convenient to be intentional.

I believe with CoD 4 IW said that anyplace you could get to that's not outside of the map would not be considered a glitch.

It could get kind of annoying if a lot of people are getting up there, but it's not exactly the easiest place to get to. I usually stick to the lower level or in the buildings on that map, so I'm not too worried about people getting up high or sniping from the cranes.

you can have utorrnent either use the same port or a random one each time - i personally just change mine every so often but don't let it do any router changes, so i have that portion off.

i have never seen all those other ports you listed for mw2 - in all the time i have used the 360, i have only used 88 and 3074 - now the pc is a different animal and many games need a lot of ports forwarded and then even more when you run a game server, but for the 360, as far as i can remember it has always been 88 and 3074.

a bit off topic, but i could never get the 360 to stream on the home network, so there is always something that goes wrong somewhere :)

good luck and i hope this helps you out.

just out of curiosity, how many devices are connected to your lan?

bob4432 - Hi, thanks to you I have my 360 off DMZ and still has open ports. You're right, what it took was disabling UPNP. I just forwarded the two ports you said and it's working now. NAT Status: Open.

Thanks again.

Or you could cook said grenade. That's where (to me) frags have an advantage. The Semtex always have the same length fuze. Short throws are easy to get away from, a grenade that blows up .25 seconds after landing next to you you're not getting away from.

Then again, there are some situations where cooking a grenade can be useful. Like the time I found a guy sniping from on top of a short building on one end of Derailed, so rather than walking up there and getting shot, stabbed, or claymored, I just cooked a grenade for four seconds and then tossed it so it exploded in midair when it was directly over him. That was fun :) Used to do that fairly often in CoD 4 too.

Good to know that IW is listening to the people. With the new patch they could have nerfed the 1887's or reduced the commando distance. But what did they change?

little snippet from xbox forums:

Lightweight has been nerfed in the 1.06 patch. The change has made it so lightweight only boosts your speed 7% now, as opposed to the previous 10%.

This is the script found in the ingame Scripts.

setLightWeight()
{
self.moveSpeedScaler = 1.07;
self maps\mp\gametypes\_weapons::updateMoveSpeedScale( "primary" );

Wow, thanks IW. Lightweight speed is exactly what I'm worried about.

Yeah that's dumb. I don't think Lightweight was overpowered before... if anything they should have increased the movement speed (since with my knife build I always take a long time to catch up to guys, even when they're obviously not using Lightweight and are carrying an assault rifle).

1887s are ridiculous and game-breaking. They need to take a page from Blizzard and actually fix things that people have been complaining about. But I guess they've been too busy swimming around in their giant bank vault full of money.

Damn, if I had a giant bank vault full of money, I know I'd be swimming in it everyday like Scrooge McDuck.

I would go as far as to say I have NEVER heard of someone complaining about the Lightweight speed...isn't that sort of the point of using it as a perk? I don't think 10% speed increase is at all unreasonable.

the 1887's need to be fixed end of story they are the new m16

Umm, they're MUCH worse than the M16. The M16 in CoD 4 was a great weapon but it wasn't ridiculously overpowered. This is a no aiming needed 1 shot long range kill weapon right now.

I found a thread discussing weapon accuracy and ranges, and the guy found out that the Masterkey shotgun (that is, the underbarrel shotgun attachment) actually has the longest range of any shotgun. Longer even than the 1887. Says it has fewer pellets, though, and thus less damage. It might be worth a shot though. I bet it would complement the M16, FAMAS, or FAL pretty well. The SPAS 12 also has a pretty good range, so I'm going to try that one too.

Also, it looks like the grip on the RPD really helps a lot. Wow.
