I kind of feel dirty using the AA-12... until I run into someone with akimbo Rangers or 1887s, which are just absurd.

Does the 360 version have a bug that lets you alter your score on the leaderboards like the PS3 version, or did the guys at the top of the list really spend 150 hours boosting to get to the top of the leaderboards? They couldn't possibly believe that people would think they got kill streaks of 867, 744, 965, 1163 and 1576 legitimately. And a 30.23 K/D 😀

The 1887s are broken. And I do believe the 360 leaderboards are boosters. There is a bug where you can send invites, then pick a game type (demolition is the longest I believe) and you get all 12 in your party. Then the other team just uses tactical insertion in the same part over and over and you boost. It is complete BS, but people do it.

That is why I hate leaderboards.

Yeah I know how they do it, I was just kind of hoping they were exploiting a bug that lets them do it quickly like on the PS3, because that would be slightly less pathetic.

I don't even normally look at the leaderboards except my friends leaderboard; I was just curious about how "good" the top people were (or how much time they had spent on the game so far - apparently as much as 8 hours a day).

I still can't find the K/D ratio... On what screen is this mysterious "column". The scoreboard, no. Barracks, no. Game summary, no... help!

They're cheating. There's a guy I recently removed from my friend's list (nothing personal, I'd never actually played with him though) who's using some glitch to keep his wins set as a "streak" even though his losses keep coming up. When I first started watching him he was at something like 80-10 wins:losses. A few days ago he was at 700-50 and he had a 700 win streak...he's a good player (he was #147 on the CoD 4 kill's leaderboards) but I can tell he's doing something buggy...

Played some Ground War last night with some friends, massive amounts of fun. Amazingly I haven't seen any Javelin glitchers in a few days *KNOCK ON WOOD!* We beat the crap out of the other team on the Domination games (last game I played was on Terminal and I think we won 200-50 or so), TDM games were back and forth. I'm still oh so hooked on the MP5K. The thing shoots so fast yet has zero accuracy. The good news is that with steady aim it sprays enough bullets that you're bound to hit someone without aiming. Played a MTDM game before bed on Invasion (my new favorite MP5K map) and joined the game on the losing team (2900-4300). I went 24-5 and we ended up in a tie game. I got a few ridiculous long range pistol kills too. I extinguished my MP5K ammo and picked up a FAMAS (not exactly a great CQB weapon) so I pulled out my pistol instead. The building across the street from the fortress there were a few guys camping in. Long range headshotted a guy with the pistol from across the road, ran in and knifed his buddy. One of my teammates ran outside and was instantly RPD'd buy a guy I knew must be camping. Ran out and he was lying in the grass aiming at the door, headshotted him with the pistol before he had a chance to fire...not sure why the pistol is working so well for me suddenly, but I really like the USP .45! There were a few other ridiculous kills (guy literally circling a building twice with marathon/lightweight/commando on trying to knife me only to be shot in the back when I hid behind a car and he ran past me), twaz alot of fun.

I've been doing more FFA lately and I had four or five games in a row with boosters. Ugh. One of my classes has SitRep and it's been helping me figure out where they are. In one game we had everyone else in the server cooperating to find them and not shooting each other. The funny thing was the boosters apparently weren't doing it to get a nuke. Not sure why they were doing it at all... headshot challenges? Other challenges? Killstreaks? Either way, they weren't even good enough to place in the top 3 despite there being only 8 people in the match. So that was funny.

I have been reporting and avoiding boosters but it takes a long time since the 360s menus are so frickin' slow.

Stabbing has been going well. I also decided that the FAL is useless. I'm currently using it on my noob tube class so the grenade launcher kills help me get attachments, since I'm sure as hell not getting many kills from actually shooting people with the gun. I'll see how well it does with an ACOG, but I don't know. The M16 seems better than it in pretty much every way. I guess the FAL can fire a bit faster since there's no pause between bursts, but with stopping power you only need one burst to kill with the M16. I'm just thinking the FAL needs an ACOG or thermal scope to really be useful. Or maybe the FAL is meant for hardcore, where it's always a 1-hit kill.

I wanted to rank up the FAL and get the challenges, and I played hardcore. It's actually decent in that game mode. Other than that, the FAL is a piece of shit. Hardcore is great.

FAL isn't terrible, you just can't use it like you use other guns. It's the equivilent of the G3 from CoD 4 which was one of my favorite guns after I warmed up to it. Still, the M16 might work better for you overall.

The one thing I don't understand, and I don't think it's an FAL thing as much as a game bug, is how I shot a guy in the head across the map literally 4-5 times with an FAL and he didn't die (the only thing I could see was his head which I hit). It made the "thunk" letting me know I'd hit him but he didn't die after several shots...made me mad.

Something I just discovered (brought up the idea, someone confirmed it last night), Commando will work with the Riot Shield's melee. Having the ability to "teleport" whilst shielding might be helpful (I still think the Commando perk is cheap as hell).

Nothing pisses me off more than to watch the killcam and see some guy knife at the air and kill me around a corner... nothing!

The FAL is good for freeing up your slot 2 perk, since it's the only AR that only requires 2 bullets without stopping power. But if you're ok with using SP, there are better options that will provide you comparable accuracy but a little more flexibility on-the-move.

On a game winning kill shot, the guy killing ran past and shooting after the guy was behind him, but he died anyway.

I had this happen yesterday. I was shooting a guy in the back from about 5+ feet, then he teleported 180 degrees and stabbed me. Commando perk, of course.

If the network code works anything like it did in W@W, if you do something that does over 100 damage, and whoever you're doing it to is lagging, when they "catch up" they only take 99 damage. I know W@W was about about this with sniping. I know a couple of times I've knifed someone only to die, then have them die right after, and I get the assist for it... An assist using the knife? Yep.

M4A1: 30-20 damage, 725 rpm, 1.12s partial reload, 2.4s full reload
FAMAS: 40-30 damage, 428 rpm (.32s between bursts), 2.2s/2.6s reload
SCAR-H: 40-30 damage, 566 rpm, 1.8s/2.72s reload
TAR-21: 40-30 damage, 725 rpm, 1.72s/3.094s reload
FAL: 50-35 damage, 508 rpm, 1.84s/3.381s reload
M16A4: 40-30 damage, 468 rpm (.28s between bursts), 1.12s/2.447s reload
ACR: 30-20 damage, 737 rpm, 1.12s/2.365s reload
F2000: 30-20 damage, 900 rpm, 2.08s/3.464 reload
AK-47: 40-30 damage, 634 rpm, 1.8s/3.305s reload

All weapons have a 1.4x damage multiplier for headshots except the FAL, which has 1.5x for a headshot and 1.1x for a neck shot. Snipers also use different multipliers. And of course there are a lot of other considerations when choosing a weapon other than damage, fire rate, and reload time. Iron sights vary a lot, magazine capacity varies, and some weapons have a lot less recoil, like the ACR. I don't know what the exact cutoff is for short vs. long range.

Far as I can tell, the TAR could be considered the best one on paper... it has the higher damage numbers but is still full auto, and unlike the SCAR it has 30 rounds per magazine instead of 20. It also fires and reloads faster than the AK-47. But the TAR's sights are not very good and the recoil is kind of high. The TAR's red dot sight is pretty bad too (the MARS sight, which seems to restrict your view more than a normal RDS).

MP5K: 40-20 damage, 818 rpm, 1.8s/3.08s reload
UMP45: 40-35 damage, 600 rpm, 2.04s/3.12s reload
Vector: 25-20 damage, 900 rpm, unknown reload
P90: 30-20 damage, 914 rpm, 1.8s/3.6s reload
Mini-Uzi: 30-20 damage, 923 rpm, 2.24s/3.56s reload
All SMGs take 0.24s to aim down the sights.

L86 LSW: 40 damage, 725 rpm, unknown reload
RPD: 40 damage, 627 rpm, 7.2s/9.744s reload
MG4: 30 damage, 725 rpm, unknown reload
AUG HBAR: 40 damage, 617 rpm, 2.44s/4.047s reload
M240: 40 damage, 898 rpm, 5.04s/7.823s reload
LMGs do not have any range penalty. They all take 0.44s to aim. Adding a silencer reduces damage by 10.

Intervention: 1.5x-1.5x-1.1x, 0.92s/1.966s reload
Barrett .50 cal: 1.5x-1.5x-1.1x, 2.6s/4.086s reload
WA2000: 1.5x-1.5x-1x, 2.56s/3.984s reload
M21 EBR: 1.5x-1.1x-1x, 2.08s/3.704s reload
Sniper rifles all take 0.44s to aim. They all do the same damage (70, or 50 when silenced), and the numbers represent multipliers for head, chest/neck, and body/stomach shots.

PP2000: 40-20 damage, 833 rpm, 1.28s/2.02s reload
G18: 30-20 damage, 818 rpm, 1.88s/2.835s reload
M93 Raffica: 40-20 damage, 454 rpm (.32s between bursts), 1.4s/3.03s reload
TMP: 30-20 damage, 865 rpm, 1.2s/2.539s reload
All machine pistols take 0.2s to aim. Shotguns also take 0.2s to aim, but there isn't much other data on them.

USP .45: 40-25 damage, 1.36s/2.319s reload
.44 Magnum: 50-35 damage, 1.48s/3.074s reload
M9: 40-30 damage, 1.24s/1.966s reload
Desert Eagle: 50-30 damage, 1.48s/2.165s reload
All pistols take either .16 or .2s to aim. They aren't clear on that, but the difference is tiny.

Also, all weapons equipped with the ACOG scope take 0.44s to aim, even SMGs.

I'm going to link to this post in the OP. I keep wanting to take a look at it but it's tough to find.

I know this has been discussed and I'm late to the game, but I just unlocked the M16 the other night and I was disappointed. I only play TDM and it seems like they completely nerf'd the M16, the SCAR-H is still my favorite.

Speaking of glitching, what's with the javelin business, when is that going to get fixed? I also agree they need to do something about the shotguns, the range on those things are unbelievable. For certain maps it seems as if you are at a disadvantage for NOT using them.
