does your phone, car, or house sit in a cabinet in a stationary position every time you're using it?

phones, cars, and houses literally do the exact same thing as ones that look different. a hyundai and a ferarri will both get you from point A to point B. an iphone and a galaxy will both make phone calls, use the internet, and text message. your house whether 1000sqft or 3000sqft will provide a roof over your head.

good luck playing uncharted 4 or god of war on something other than the ps4.

If you think all those things are the exact same, you're just making junk up and sounding stupid. How's the Google Play Store on iOS? How's iMessage on Android? How does a Hyundai do in a race against a Ferrari? How does a 1,000 sq. ft. house manage with a family of 6? You basically list the most basic, third-party things of the other stuff, then neuter the console argument to exclusive stuff. Your argument is cherry picking trash logic.

I don't see why it would bother you. As long as it retains the easy usability as consoles always have had then you can ignore the rest. Turn it on, pick a game, and play. I don't see how it having KB/M support, cross platform support, and a better store front would change your experience.

Consoles haven't been hassle free and easy to use since...what PS2? With more pc likeness and forced updates and all the other BS that comes with PC w/o any of the perks, there is almost zero reason to get a console aside from a few must play games, and even that is questionable. I can't say any of the 'new' things that are required have made console gaming any more fun than they were 15-20 years ago. Less so really.

I still like consoles and will continue to support them if they have the exclusives to keep me interested. That's all that matters to me. Putting your major releases on PC doesn't help keep me interested in the brand.

They do a lot more than they used to as well which does add to the complexity of the OS and functionality.

So, I was thinking that if I had an Xbox One given to me.... like for free... and I wasn't allowed to sell it.... what games would I buy for it? And it sorta dawned on me..... no games.

For a second there, I thought "maybe I'd buy Rise of the Tomb Raider", but realistically, I wouldn't waste money on that, with the PC version available. Well, not unless it was a pretty awesome sale on the Xbox One version, but I have more confidence in Steam having it on a good deal vs anything else really, and with a little pile of Uncharted games to play in my backlog, I'm going to have plenty of patience to wait on that one. Have it marked in my Steam wish list...

For upcoming games, I was a little interested in Recore and Scalebound, but they're both getting PC releases, so...

Yeah, so went as far as to pull up the Xbox exclusives list on Wikipedia, and just stared at it for a while.... and I realized that there were ZERO games with the genre listed as RPG, so that was interesting, and just stared some more... and thought.... "Wow, if I was given a free Xbox One.... I don't have any idea what I'd do with it...."
