I predict a Sunday collapse under the pressure.

yah man that sucks for him. i bet tiger is kicking himself even more now.

I doubt it, all tiger is seeing right now is 1-2 strokes between him and the 5th green jacket. He is way too experienced and focused to dwell on those two bogeys.

It will be really tough for everybody else to focus on their games tomorrow, Tiger will be on all their minds. Advantage Tiger

His troubles on 17/18 could make for a very dramatic finish. Go Go 4 way playoff!

Man, Brett Wetterich really blew up today!

With tomorrows pressure and tougher pin placements, other are gonna blow strokes. Looks another green jacket for Tiger, IMHO.

Everybody talks about the greens at Augusta. Watching some of today's play...jeez, brutal.

Notice the rough is very light? It's all about the play around the pin, course management, giving yourself a good approach. Missing the fairway doesn't seem to be a big deal. Missing on the wrong side seems like suicide.

When they do the flyovers of the holes, are they using some kind of filter to get the vibrant colors of the fairway/greens? They look a lot more green than the regular camera shots (watching both in HD).

It's an angle of perception thing. Looking straight down from above you see 100% of the color of the grass with no reflection, when standing at ground level you get lots of reflection that dilutes the true color. Thats also why when you play on cloudy days the grass seems greener.

I was just looking at the stats on masters.org and tomorrow could well be a record setting day. The only time over par won the masters was in 1956 when Jack Burke won with +1 289. Nicklaus won a playoff in 1963 when the tournament ended tied at E. It looks quite possible for the winning score tomorrow to be 290 or higher making it the highest scoring masters in tournament history.

I think the most impressive scoring record is Ben Hogans -14 274 in 1953, it broke the low total record by five strokes and stood as the record for the next 12yrs. With the technology of the day -14 was unbeleivable, especially considering 40yo Hogan almost lost his life less than 4 years before in a horrible car wreck. Doctors told him he would never walk again and definately never play again. After the accident in 1949 Hogan walked and played with a significant limp for the rest of his life. He limped his way to 12 more tour victories including 6 majors, including the 1950 US Open 11mos after the accident. In 1951 he only entered 5 touraments and won three of them The Masters, The US Open and the World Championship of Golf. And he also won the British Open in 53 following this amazing 53 Masters performance.

Goosen is going to win it. Tiger doesn't have it today, and the less experienced guys will start falling back.

I think it's going to come down to Goosen or Sabbatini. If Appleby and/or Tiger can turn it around, look out!! :p
