If you haven't been watching Amen Corner, Ben Curtis is getting owned.

+8

The projected cut is +7 so I wonder who will make it.

Well, I haven't be able to see a d@mn shot played yet. :|

But I'm guessing from the stats you posted Tiger's #1 problem ATM is driving.

I expected to see a much further drive from him than that 291 yarder. I've seen him hit drives that carry farther than that. And Augusta is bone dry (so they say), he should be getting plenty of roll.

I'm guessing the poor driving is putting a strain on his approach shots too - only 20 of 30 greens in regulation?

Looks like his putting is only so-so. While 1.77 strokes ain't bad, when your missing a lot of greens in regulation your putting average should come down. The "extra" shot to make the green is usually a chip, should need only one putting stroke after that.

I see he finished up with a +2 in a pretty wild day. But if he can get to form by tomorrow he's still likely to win, IHMO. I'm guessing he'll be only 5 (6 max) back at the start of tomorrow.

Notables who make the cut:

Fred Couples ties Gary Players record.
Old guys Ben Crenshaw, Fuzzy Zoeller, Sandy Lyle Making the cut in their first appearance:
Wetterich,Dredge,J.Singh,Wilson,Henry,Yang,Karlsson and Quigley
Looks like Phil will hold on

Notables who miss the cut

Micheal Cambell, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia,

Amazing how the guys in the OP's poll aren't fairing to well. 1 of them in the top 10, 3 in the top twenty, several will miss the cut.

Yeah been looking like 8+ for a while.

But then I'm not 100% sure how the Masters rules work. Is it like any other PGA event - top 50 and ties, and all those within 10 of the leader?

Yeah, if the weather holds (no rain) that could be the winning score (even par).

Tiger making his normal saturday/sunday run. If he leads after today it's almost guaranteed he'll win tomorrow.

Tied for 3rd through 11. Only one player under par total - Stuart Appleby

Yep, the tiger is on the prowl. He dropped one at twelve, but looking to get it back on 13.
Glad we finally got some TV coverage.

That was a great/smart shot on 13. Lay up.

The approach looked like he knocked a wedge down and a lot of spin on it. Keep the wind from mucking with it.

Yeah that pitch was amazingly precise. After watching his tee shot on fourteen I get the feeling he's getting in the zone and just about to leave the field in his dust. I predict by sunday afternoon he is the only one under par.

I suspect everyone's drives are a bit shorter this weekend due to the cold weather.

He's getting ballsy. Went for the green on 15 with what looked like a 3/5 wood.

That takes guts on that hole - short = water, long = jail.

Tiger was pissed off on the 17th. I thought he was going to go Happy Gilmore on his sand wedge :p.
