i9250 is the GSM model. i515 is the LTE Verizon model.

This is a popular cheap case used by many and it fits both GSM and LTE VZ model. Supposedly it also fits with extended battery. This is Revision 3 of the case, the newest one.

Got this case yesterday. Great case for the $$. Fits the phone well, has a nice feel to it, and it has a cool glossy lip that makes the phone look good. I actually prefer the way the phone feels in my hand with this case as opposed to no case at all.

http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Vehicle-Adapter-micro-USB-Charger/dp/B000S5Q9CA/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1326418583&sr=1-3

This is a popular and good car charger. It's what I have and use and I highly recommend it. Be sure to choose Amazon the seller rather than other third party sellers as they might not send you genuine Motorola charger. What's nice about this car charger is that it supplies 950mA so you basically get wall charger output rather than trickle USB charge output that you would get from say PC. Some car chargers only ouput 300-400mA so if you use Google Nav, your phone will actually lose charge while it's connected to the car charger. You won't have that problem with the Motorola charger as it supplies enough juice to charge you while using Google Navigation.

Remember to pay attention here to what ponyo is saying. Most car chargers give off a very small amount of amps so the charging is a trickle (slow) charge. I actually think the Samsung wall charger that's included is more than 950mA (but probably not much more) but the point is the same. I have a car charger that came with my Nexus One (official) car dock. I was surprised to see it was 2A. That's some fast charging.

I have this one and it charges my phone quick. The extra usb port is nice if you have other people in your car a lot. Although I wouldnt pay $17 bucks for it. I got mine for free since my friend works at ATT lol.

i have that charger. there was a deal for it for liek $5 for 3 on some deal site refurbed a while back. great charger, way way faster charging than those cheap chinese ones.

i didnt even know about the usb port too until i saw the top was all loose. not worth $17 but there are plenty of good alternatives for $8-10 also.

What ROM, Kernel, Theme are you guys running?

stock 4.0.2 rom, stock kernel, and stock theme. :) I only start changing if I'm unhappy with something or bored. So far I haven't felt the need to change anything. It's about as close to perfect for me as is. Battery life has been really good for me and it easily last me the entire work day so I have zero desire to undervolt. Phone feels very fluid and fast so I don't care about overclocking. Call and signal quality has been great for me on stock XXKK6 radio.

After messing with countless roms, kernels, and various hacks on other Android devices, it's so refreshing to use something that works so well out of the box. The only hacking I did was to unlock the bootloader, root, and flash the official Google "yakju" build so I could receive my updates directly from Google rather than Samsung. Don't get me wrong. I love tinkering with this phone. But it's more with the neat features and add-ons rather than fighting with the Rom, kernel, or the OS.

I'm sure I'll eventually start messing with custom roms and kernels once I'm bored. But I want to savor the stock experience little while longer.

I'm all stock, not sure I feel the need to change. That's what I like about the Nexus, I don't need to root/rom it because I'll be getting the updates right from Google. Not even sure I want to root it. The only thing I'd benefit from there is Titanium backup and Root Explorer, and the only time I ever used those was because of stuff I was doing with roms on my OG Droid.

This...all the way. Awesome case. I got one last week and it's wonderful.

Well my phone wasn't getting updates directly from Google. That's why I rooted and unlocked the bootloader. Plus I wanted to unlock the bootloader before I had too much stuff on the phone. Unlocking the bootloader the first time completely wipes your phone data so it's best to get that out of the way early on. And the reason I wanted root: StickMount! Til Google fixes this, StickMount is the only way to use the USB Host mode and you need root for this app.

Thanks for the product recommendations.

I finally got around to plugging it into my PC (Vista64). I'm finding the drag/drop copying to be buggy. It would sometimes say "The copy operation has failed. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." So far it's only worked once. Can't get it back again. Is there some trick like the phone has to be active the whole time without it going back to a locked status? And it wouldn't even detect the phone when plugged in the other USB port.

Try downloading and installing fastboot drivers on your computer to see if that helps. Check the third post from this link for PDANet which has the drivers for Vista.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310

My computer always detect my phone and I never had any problem copying files back and forth. But I already had fastboot drivers installed so I don't know if that helped or not. But it doesn't hurt to try and you'll need fastboot drivers anyway if you ever start messing with your phone.

Well my phone wasn't getting updates directly from Google.

I was having the same problem in the first day or so. The 4.0.2 update erred out on me, wouldn't download. To resolve, I had to factory reset the phone. Didn't have much on it then though. I'm holding off on unlocking the bootloader, until CM9 hits final status.

No, you don't understand. I explained this many post back in this thread but I'll repeat it again since it might help some new GSM Galaxy Nexus owner. I have GSM Galaxy Nexus. GSM Nexus have several different builds and only "yakju" build is supported and updated directly by Google. The rest are supported by Samsung and the various carriers around the world. Mine was Hong Kong "yakjuzza" or some build similar to that. Any updates for my phone would've come direct from Samsung server and not from Google. And to my knowledge, not a single Samsung build phone has received any update yet.

Of course I fixed that minor problem by unlocking the bootloader, rooting, and flashing Google "yakju" build but a normal person wouldn't know how to do that. They probably don't even know what type of build phone they have.

Verizon LTE Nexus people don't have to worry about something like this as there's only one Google "mysid" build and all updates will come directly from Google. But it's completely different story for GSM and most GSM Nexus won't come with "yakju" Google build. So these people will be at the mercy of Samsung and won't receive updates direct from Google even though they have the Galaxy Nexus.

So is anyone actually using face unlock? I tried it for a few hours, but I didn't like it. Cool that it works, but not for me.

Does anyone regret getting a a nexus due to its size? I'm getting my first smartphone and it's hard to tell if the size will bug me or not.
