I'm supposed to get my evo this week. I'm spending one last meaningful weekend with my iPhone 3G and then moving on. *sniffle*
I got something similar at monoprice.
And I just use Advanced Task Killer. Free edition.
new software update out: http://www.androidcentral.com/evo-4g-software-update-now-available
WARNING: Lots of folks over on the Android forums are complaining of bricked phones after attempting this OTA update. I can't imagine all of them are retards causing it through user error.

Just finished installing the software update on my Evo about an hour ago. There were a few times where it seemed like the update wasn't doing anything but I resisted the urge to mess with the phone during the update process. Here is the info after the update.
Firmware Version - 2.1-update1
Kernel Version 2.6.29-789bf291 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1
Software Number 1.47.651.1
Wireless connection seems faster, grounding is gone!!!!touch screen works much better. A couple of my widgets and shortcuts got missed up, but I was able to fix them. Great to see them come out with a fix for things so fast.
What is "grounding"?
On mine it was the top half of the screen not being very responsive especially if I wasnt holding it with my other hand like when its sitting on the table or something.
Notice any differences yet? My wifi strength in office has increased significantly, and the notification bar is much more sensitive and opens while laying flat.
