I saw it Friday night and the initial though i had about the film was a reverse Kill Bill. KB1 was pretty much all action while KB2 had less action and developed the story that was sorta started in part 1.
With HP7, Part 1 was the story and Part 2 felt like one never ending climax ( that's what she said) that eventually ended well... until the 19 yrs later scene ( insert some sexual reference joke here). I will say tho, I enjoyed all the Potter movies and the books as the series progressed. But, I don't feel HP7 Part 2 was 10/10... It did a great job at telling the story that was 2nd half of the Deathly Hallows, but if I feel the only way to understand what is happening in Part 2 of the movie you had to see Part 1, and this movie made the assumption. To bring it back to Kill Bill, if you wanted Vol 2 with out seeing part 1, you could at least get an idea of what happenend. I felt with Potter... HP7 Part 2 was an orphan that was all action and not much story unlike Part 1 which had a good mixture of both while not getting bogged down.
Over all if you like the HP movies and books, Part 2 is worth seeing on the big screen.
