Oh, and I'm beginning to loathe Snowbound now. I played three games of Team Slayer on that map last night and they all devolved into players camping out in the big at the bottom of the tunnels between the two structures. Completely lame.
yea that map started to suck big tiem in the beta. what would solve that problem is if there was a way to drop down into the bases from up top.
Yeah, that map could definitely use some tweaking. I'd like to see Guardian more though.
Oddly, I played Construct for the very first time last night. I mean it took 95 games for me to finally hit that map. I ended up getting my arse handed to me though because I didn't know where anything was on the map and my teammates were bunch of a-holes. I ended up playing a second game of Construct though and ended up being the MVP.
I agree abotu Guardian. That is probably the best map IMO. It seems to be one of the few where there isn't a central area that everyone goes and tries to stand their ground. However in team slayer games it rarely comes up
Construct the main holding area is the top level near the lifts (I'm sure you saw this on your first play through). I hated that map at first but it grew on me a lot, I now enjoy it.
I also really enjoy the Pit, which is one I did not like at first. It's very basic but I just love the layout and think it's farily balanced, again with no one pivotal position that everyone tries to hold down for the entire match.
Snowbound -
It's interesting that most of the games I've played on Snowbound have not ended up with people camping in the middle cave. A lot of the games I play end up with everyone outside, and that can be a lot of fun. It's not one of my favorite maps though. I did play one game where my team insisted on camping, and we did very well at first but lost in the end.
Construct -
Seems to be pretty rare for me too. I like some things about it, don't like other things. The rooms at the top make for some good fighting and really reward teamwork. I like hanging out up there with the battle rifle and picking guys off as they come down the hallway, but if I don't have a guy watching my back in case someone comes across from the other side or up the elevator, I'm screwed.
Guardian -
I like. A lot of opportunities to drop in on someone unexpectedly. Lots of fierce firefights here, especially in the room with the gold elevator. I generally avoid that center area, because it's a death trap.
The Pit -
Has quickly turned into one of my favorite maps, and I probably have my best k/d ratio here. It does have one pivotal position though - the area with the swords. Most of the games I've played lately end up with one team hanging out in there while the other tries to get in. The sword is a lot less useful out in the open, so if you just force them to come out and meet you in the open it's a lot easier. Most of the fighting still tends to revolve around that side of the map though. Which is nice, because it provides me with an opportunity to sneak around behind them.

One thing I've been wondering - sometimes you spawn in the upper floors on either side, but there are no weapons up there. Is there any way to get up there without spawning there? I haven't seen a way.
Isolation -
No one seems to like this level. I don't particularly care for it, but I have a good k/d ratio there. I think the name High Ground is better suited for this level than the level called High Ground, because what often happens is one team holds the high ground and the other team tries to assault. In this level the elevation is really the advantage, whereas in High Ground the defensive structures are.
Last Resort -
I've only played this one a few times, and almost always in non-slayer matches. Not a huge fan.
Narrows -
Big fan, but it can get old. This is another one that really rewards teamwork. I can't tell you how many times all 3 of my teammates just go straight over the upper bridge. WTF?! I usually chill over by the man cannon with my battle rifle. I can pick off guys on the other side with that thing, and if someone tries to jump across I toss a grenade to soften them up and then finish them off with my guns. I basically guard the rear while into the valley of death ride the 600 (er... my 3 teammates).
