lol. Well...I've been stuck at 32 forever. I experience the things you describe as well but I don't think its network related as I have comcast cable with the added "speed boost" . Yesterday I hit a guy with the grav hammer 3 times. He didn't die. I did. Amazing!

Hmmm. I just hopped from 3meg DSL to 6meg DSL this week. I need to try Halo3 again to see if it made any difference there.

Well, it only frustrates me when the laggy crap happens. Last night i beat down a guy from the rear. Assassination, right? Wrong, I got assassinated. Oh well.

They tweaked a lot of the maps a couple of months ago. They also removed some weapons and increased the respawn times of weapons like the Maulers because there were too many Mauler whores.

I love the Maulers, especially on High Ground and The Pit.

Yeah, I wasn't fond of them at first but then figured out that they were fantastic to have on High Ground, The Pit, and Guardian where it was easy to get in to close combat with others.

ahhhh must have happend when I stopped playing for like 40 days. When I started back up I didnt' even notice. Then last night I was like....wait wasn't there flares on this level?

Although it can be annoying, taking refuge underground in Snowbound with the maulers or shotgun is endless fun.
