I guess ps3 owners have at least a little to be happy about.

IGN giving it a 10 is pretty major in my book. I liked the last few GTAs, but never could finish them and always found the core game somewhat lacking, especially the shooting. But after reading the full 7 page review, I'm going to have to get this game on tuesday...it sounds absolutely incredible.

I thought there was supposed to be no loading times at all except for the beginning. I don't want to have to wait for 30 second load times.

Yeah, Ocarina of Time on N64. I did a search for 10 and that's the only game I found before they posted the GTA4 review today.

They stated in the review that Soul Calibur was the last previous game that they gave a 10. So that makes 3 total

I thought they gave Jade Empire a 10 also, but that may be another site.

They gave Jade Empire a 9.9.

Definitely pick up a copy. However, if you're unsure, then wait for the reviews to come out and read them. Also, you can wait for us to play it and read our impressions.

Again, this game will be epic and everyone should at least give it a try.

Wow, a perfect score from IGN. Not that this really changes anything, but it gets me even more excited to play GTA IV. It's going to be spectacular, and I have a feeling it will surpass my expectations. Tuesday can't come soon enough.

I feel like I am 10 years old again and it is Christmas Eve and I have an NES waiting for me under the tree INCLUDING ROB the Robot.

This game is really the only one I have been excited about in the last 5 or 6 years. I haven't wasted an entire day gaming in years but this game might change all that.

If any other PS3 owners want to get some MP going Tues morning (2AM PDT) send me an IM.

I haven't owned a console since the SNES, and the GTA series is the only game that has ever made me want one. Gahh!! Me wants the PC version!!



Hope you guys enjoy the game tremendously, so it'll be worth the long wait and extreme jealousy I'll be enduring.

I was resisting reading the review, worried about even minor spoilers (there is one that talks about a specific mission midway through the game, damn you IGN!) and I'm even more excited about this game than I was. Easily sounds like the best game ever made, IMO.

The more I read about it, the more I want it. Especially having grown up in NYC, I can definitely say they really nailed the feel of the place. Its too bad the specific section of queens (flushing/forest hills) that I came from doesnt seem to be too well represented, but probably the most exciting thing is going to be driving around and recognizing all the various parts of the city. I cant wait. If I can ride the 7 in the game, it'll totally blow my mind.

So, I chatted with someone on my buddy list who was playing GTAIV. After wanting to kill him out of sheer envy, I invited him to a voice chat and we talked for about 15-20 mins about the game and his impressions so far. He kindly left it spoiler free and elaborated on the face that he didnt like any of the past GTA--but he's blown away by this one. He basically said that he considers it one of the best looking X360 games out there and that the level of detail within the city was amazing.

Also, he went on about the story. I found it interesting that he couldnt get off the main story quest chain because he found the story so compelling that he didnt want to veer off of it--he wanted to know what was going to happen next.

And for the curious--he informed me that he got the game through a close friend who is a warehouse manager at Target.

That's weird, I've talked to a few people playing the 360 version (warez monkeys, just so there's not confusion) who are around 20-40% through the single player stuff who said the story is pretty lackluster so far.

I've got it on order from newegg, just waiting til it comes next week, I'm getting the PS3 version though, since my 360 has, sadly, decided to die on me again, so I'm waiting on the coffin from MS.

I'm excited about it tho, I'm really interested in the multi player stuff.

I can't decide between PS3 and 360 version. I preordered 360 but I'm debating switching the PS3 based on IGNS review (seems like its a smoother experience overall)

I might play online with some buds but who knows....bah.
