Damn, I've been going through the ordering process of the 2005FPW for the past two days and stopped at the confirm order page. I want to use it as a TV and do component out on the PS2.

I agree, that and the fact that PS2 is the worst out of the possible systems, too bad Gran Turismo will always be a Sony thing 🙁

played gt4 and demo of forza. GT4 steering wheel is nice, but i'd still go with forza. Its just more real.
 
I got it this afternoon. its kinda similar to GT3, but the physics and totally different. much more realistic. as usual, the graphics are awesome. it was hard to tell whether the intro movie was video or being rendered. 1 good thing that I like is that you can import your B and A licenses and 100K from your Gt3 save game.

Are you absolutely positive that the menus are in 480i, and not 480p? If theyre 480i only, no 1080i for me, and Ill just wait for damn forza.

Reports are that you'll have to play in 480i or switch cables back and forth.

Look towards the bottom here...link ...Seems like an awfully dumb thing to do with the game. Spend the extra half day and setup 1080i menus.

So does anyone know whether we'll be getting anything close to the awesome package that the Japanese version had, or do we just get the typical North American crap treatment?

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET save me a lot of time, i reserved it but gamestop didnt get it till 6pm and i was at work until 9pm so imma have to wait till tomorrow

Imported A & B licenses, but only 25K 'cause I didn't play that much on GT3. Too bad you can't import cars from GT3... or can you?

i wonder why xbox cant support force feedback with all that hardware power...
i have my wheel collecting dust..
 
You guys don't know what you'll be missing...Google the Forza video with the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, and you'll understand why GT has never had the sounds right.
 
The game looks like GT3, but the driving is much better and there are plenty more cars to buy or win, or cuss out loud when you win a junker.
 
Burnout 3 had damage models... not the best, but they were there. And like someone else said, not all the companies want wrecked cars in the game. It'd look stupid if one kind of car got damaged and the others looked brand new after a wreck.

oh? and how can we compare? that's right GT doesnt have Ferrari in it. doh.

I guess its all up to your preference.. GT or Forza. but in the end. Ill have both 🙂 I really hope someone comes up with a mod so I can use ForcePro wheel in xbox 🙂

Well you can compare the Corvette Z06 engine sounds; both games have that. Again, it's a VERY noticeable difference.
