Welcome. I did the same thing. I bought the new PS2 a couple weeks ago and I picked up the game/wheel combo today during lunch. :disgust:

italian garbage... lol. i never did understand why everyone thinks the skyline is the end all be all of cars.

EA and Microsoft have the license for them. IIRC... in NFS HP2... you could damage every car in there except for Ferrari. 😕 Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

ok. for those who have the us version..

When you do a link multiplayer mode, are you allowed to use cars from ur garage?

i remember in GT3, you can only use cars from arcade mode.

Well, I've had the game for two days and I've decided to give the game to my brother.

Why?

It looks very pretty, yes. The car models are fantastic. The lighting effects are astonishing. But...

The gameplay just isn't there. The audio is so bad it feels like an afterthought. It's so bad! Worst of all, it's just so bloody boring. I feel like I'm running a track to simply watch the reply.

I'm not impressed.

WTF! :|

I'm still waiting for mine from CC! 🙁

Just picked up the game today, and here's my short thoughts. I liked the intro to the game, very nice, albeit a bit long. The menus seem much sleeker over GT3, and everything is laid out very nice. I don't care much for the running starts, which so far seem to be in 95% of the races. They are too long, and I found myself telling the game to come on while waiting for it to give me control. I don't care much for the blur effect when you hit a wall hard or another car hard, it takes me out of the game for a split second. Not quite sure what to say on the "improved" physics, only that I'm not qualified to say if they are better or not. It controls just as good as GT3, which is a good thing. I like the new tracks that I've seen so far, and I'm glad to see some old ones untouched. Your home has been overhauled in GT mode, as you can now actually see you car sitting in a garage (which is a nice touch).

Lots more to say, I just don't feel like typing. For those sitting on the fence on buying this game, I can say it's basically a suped up version of GT3 and nothing more. Photo mode is outstanding, haven't tried B-spec mode yet (although I don't see the appeal), and the GT mode feels identical to GT3. You can't go wrong with GT4, but casual GT3 fans may be turned off at the similarities between the two.

1 good thing that I like is that you can import your B and A licenses and 100K from your Gt3 save game.

Imported A & B licenses, but only 25K 'cause I didn't play that much on GT3. Too bad you can't import cars from GT3... or can you?

Ok can someone tell me how to import money from GT3 to GT4. At first I wanted to start fresh now I see how bs hard the game is even in beginner I need some cash lol. I remember it asked me if I wanted to at the beginning now I see no option.

Home->Game Status.

wtf?!

Man the Ferrari is so l337 it JUST DOESN'T DAMAGE! 😛

I'll get the game and I'll get it for my PSP and hopefully I can link and make the changes to the GT4 on the PS2 from my PSP 😛

I pretty much expect it to be the same as GT3 with improved graphics, more cars and more tracks. ONLINE play is the killer app for me!

Heyanyone got the link to the Ferrari Forza crash clip? I have been googling "Ferrari forz clip" and combinations and have not found it 🙁

Question for anyone who owns the logitech wheel. Where do you put it? Do you need a table of proper height to put the wheel?

Yep. Wheel clamps to the table top, pedals sit on the floor.

Wow, I actually took some time today and sat down to play it.

Its not as realistic as some PC racers, but for a console game, its damn amazing. I carried my B and A licenses over from GT3, but decided to see if much had changed and started doing the A license tests. Holy crap! I haven't even started racing and I've put 4 hours into it :Q Only 4 more golds to grab in my A license though 😛

I got the game, have to wait till tomorrow to play it.

BUT, is there a decent wheel/pedal set that has a clutch? What the hell's the point of trying to reenact a racing game if there's no clutch?

I rented it tonight and played from 5 pm - 5:45 getting a taste, then after my class I played from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., just finishing moments ago...

I wasn't really into GT3 (played it a bit) but this game is terribly addictive...

My GTO goes 192.01 mph though... 😀

There is no clutch-shifter combo for any console as far as I know.
There isn't even a 5 or 6 gate shifter. The shifter on the Logitech is only up/down 🙁

Act-Labs does make one of the PC, but I don't know of any good racing sim that can take advantage of it. Nothing on the PC comes close to the level of GT for PS2.
Hopefully this gets implemented into GT5 for PS3.
Force-feedback clutch/brake/pedal/wheel = 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

It's great, but it's too damn easy! Before my 10th race, I had a 400HP Skyline (Nismo 400R), and shortly after that, I won a 600HP 350Z touring car!! Where's the fun in that? Other than that, it's a fun racing game, it's great to see the tracks, but there's no challenge whatsoever unless you forcably limit your mods just to stay competitive. The game feels more like it was meant for you to build a nice car collection, rather than feeling like you're starting out with scraps and working your way up to the big leagues. The "big leagues" get handed to you practically 🙁 I was afraid the balance of the gameplay was going to be poor like in GT3, and I was right. Gone are the days of GT1 where you started with a cruddy car and had to work your ass off for a simple exhaust...
