How about 3 of his 6 were after his years with the Sox. He won it with Boston in 86, 87, 91, with Toronto in 97, 98 and with the Yankees in 01.

Actually as much as Clemens probably will hate to admit it, he owes the end of his career upswing to the Red Sox.

Had the Red Sox not disposed of him like they did, he probably wouldn't have been motivated to get himself in the shape
he was in in 86, and really prove to them they made a mistake. He worked harder than ever to give the Sox the finger.
And did it as a Blue Jay. He was a Yankee to win a title.

Clemens has recently admitted that he's still attached to the New England area, and now that Boston's management has been revamped I'm sure he doesn't have many qualms about Boston. Minus Manny Ramirez, who will be gone next year anyway.

I don't follow baseball ... but as a kid, one of my coolest Halloween memories was going trick-or-treating at Roger Clemens' house in Katy, TX.

It was probably somewhere around 88. He handed out signed baseball cards and candy, he was dressed like a tiger and there was a line down the street ...

Umm sir, I made a mistake. But don't you dare question me as a fan. I was a diehard Yankee fan when the #1 starting pitcher was Tim Leary, Claudell Washington played center, Jesse Barfield played right, nobody played short, Joel Skinner caught, Mike Paglirulo played third base, and Steve Farr was the big time closer. The Yankees were in a tough fight for 4th place every year. So don't give me that whole spiel because I made a freaking mistake.

It happens I guess. Jesse Barfield, I remember his baseball card (Topps) when he had the big jerry curls, lol. Mike Pag's, talk about back in the day haha. Remember when Dave Righetti set the save record? The 80's was an exciting decade of baseball... Probably way better than the 90's. 00's have been action packed so far though.

His last start isn't going to be a pretty one. A ERA of 27.00 as of right now. I respect the guys talent (although I think he's riding the Yankee gravy train right now) but I don't like him at all. Have fun in the Hall of Fame though, you deserve it.

Regardless of the outcome of tonights game, this guy is a LEGEND. Any baseball fan with half a brain should realize that. As a casual baseball fan, I'm glad I can say that I got to see him pitch over the course of his career. It's a shame that Clemens, Maddux, Johnson are all at the tail end of their careers. It's been great watching all of them pitch.
