Updated the car list (a few R cars added including my beloved FLMS Porsche 997 GT3 RSR).

Also...a new Turn 10 press release:
Take Your Avatar Back to School Shopping?

Hit up the Avatar Marketplace for cool new styles and killer flashbacks. Can?t wait until October 27 to get in the driver?s seat with ?Forza Motorsport 3?? Starting September 24th, deck your Avatar out in authentic racing apparel from the game. Have your avatar rock-out in neon and fringe with original styles from the 80?s Modern collection starting September 10th, or prove that you?re a digital tastemaker with the latest from Urban Culture on September 17th. Give your Avatar all-new styles just in time for back-to-school

I know it's lame and geeky, but sadly I can forsee myself dressing up my doll...er...avatar with a racing helmet and fire suit.

Exactly, and I promise you it'll be horrible overpriced (ie. $5 for a helmet, $5 for a suit, etc). Ripoff for sure...

Man I hate achievements like this. I know they are trying to get you to try out different aspects of the game but they're just kind of too cheap and easy, ya know? Should be like 5 gamer points each max.

Meh, the Veyron is an overhyped piece of crap car IMHO, built for bragging rights only...not a fan of the car.

Same here. I see so many people jizzing their pants over this car and I just don't understand it.

Veyron. I really don't understand how you can not be impressed by the car, calm and relaxing @250MPH, nothing else is remotely comparable.

Because the car was designed for the sole purpose of going fast in a straight line and setting records. It's a very fast car but it's not a very good car. I think the McLaren F1, Enzo Ferrari, etc are much better cars.

Really?

"The real disappointment is it doesn't feel that quick in a normal road situation. Oh, once you're going there's loads of torque then power and the acceleration that goes with it, but there's turbo lag and far too much rotating mass. But they've done some amazing things with it. On the track, the chuckability, steering, and braking shine."

That is a quote from Gordon Murray.

Raw handling data. Not going to go toe to toe with an Elise, but to say the car is only good at going in a straight line is a joke. McLaren numbers for comparison. The Veyron has more grip, better brakes and is a decent amount faster through the slalom. Enzo numbers, yes the Enzo does easily out handle the Veyron- but I'm not seeing that as a bad place to be. Handling level between a McLaren and an Enzo, certainly not what I would consider close to being a straight line only car.

The Veyron has more grip because it's AWD. It's not legal for any racing series, once again, it was designed to go fast in a straight line. AWD helps it stay on the road.

It might handle reasonably well but it was DESIGNED a bragging rights/straight line car through and through. It's what 12 year olds get their jollies from and it's why FM3 will be littered with 12 year olds all using it...

My brother in law drove a Lamborghini LP-640, Nissan GT-R, Porsche Carrera GT, and Bugatti Veyron all within a few days, he said the Bugatti was boring and unimpressive. Surprisingly (considering he hates Porsche's) he said the Carrera GT was easily the most fun/impressive car.

The Veyron has more grip because it's AWD.

That is rather contrary to the laws of physics as far as cornering goes. Grip is determined by the amount of friction your tires can generate, if your tires are being used to both turn the vehicle and also put power to the ground you are going to have less cornering grip. All of the top cornering vehicles in the world are RWD, all of them. Besides the issues of friction of the tires, having the additional mechanical requirements add a considerable amount of weight. You can look it up for yourself, all of the top grip cars in the world are RWD and it has always been that way.

It's not legal for any racing series

That isn't true(WRC) but for the series it was banned from it was mainly due to its staggering advantages in the rain.

It might handle reasonably well but it was DESIGNED a bragging rights/straight line car through and through.

So it accidentally outhandles the McLaren? You listed the McLaren as an example of a superior car, if the Bugatti can outhandle it on accident then you must think the McLaren is a complete and utter POS so why did you list it?

My brother in law drove

That's nice, Gordon Murray is the man who designed the McLaren, and he disagrees with your brother in law. I'm going to have to believe the man with a little bit more expertise.

he said the Bugatti was boring

Boring is a good trait in a race car. 12 year olds may not think so, but it is reality. Incredibly predictable is a godsend at 200+.
