That is what I voted for. If anything, I think he should add more immediate spending and take out some tax cuts that are going to be too slow to help and just add to deficit.

Yes it is.

Its fair to argue him point by point, but overall I think its quite clear that he is going to be an infinitely better president than bush.

His admission that democrats just want to throw money at the school system while republicans just want to blow it up for instance. He shows an ability to criticize his own side. I'm not saying he did it as much as he should have, but its refreshing to see ANY of this being done.

Ok, so the die hard right winged conservatives, hate Obama. That is clear as evidenced by the posts in this thread.

At the same time, you look at someone like Senator Shelby who has NOTHING constructive but just say 'waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa too much money spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'.

Wow. He got his ass kicked by the questions to expose him as an idiot. Let's hope the press actually keeps it up. You could tell by his body language he is VERY uncomfortable.

He's out of office. How many times are you going to bring him up? It's all you ever do in every thread - spew on about Bush. Take your own advice, and move on. It'll probably help your blood pressure.

That and he has more of a viewpoint than "either you're with us or against us"......

Thanks. I'm aware of that.

To be more precise, Obama is bit the same lying, fear mongering, asswipe as Specop 007's EX-Traitor In Chief and his gang. I won't be over those POS until they're indicted and tried for their crimes.

The good news on the subject of their crimes is, I just heard Obama say he supports upholding the rule of law and that no one is above the law. He said, although he intends primarily to look forward, he supports prosecution where there is clear evidence of crimes.

Time to send him my macros. :light:

Bullshit! YOU are the one who said, "Meet the new boss boys, same as the old boss." That means YOU are the one who yelled, "BUT BUSH!! BUT BUSH!!"

As I replied to to GenHoth, I disagree with you on that. Obama is the direct opposite of "the old boss," your EX-Traitor In Chief.

Actually it was a Presidential ending. You know, cause the President did it. You lose!

I enjoyed listening to the President answer questions. Whether or not it works, he stood up and defending his ideas. There's something Republicans can learn from this.

Better than Bush isnt saying much. And so far he's not a whole heck of a lot different. Using fear tactics to get his way, war spending, huge amounts of pork to benefit his supporters. Heck most of this bill doesnt even spend any money for over a year, how is that supposed to stimulate the economy? During the campaign he promised to improve infrastructure and build power plants. Most of the porkulus program doesnt address that.

Why not just create a federal Department of Redundancy Department, hire four million people, pay them 100K a year, and call it a day?

Well, when Kucinich read the articles of impeachment, where was Obama? I guess dodging a a potential political risk has a higher priority than the rule of law.

Meh, same bullshit. Not a real stimulus. I would love to know where those "created jobs" will go when the bailout money ends if the rest of the world is still doing poorly. What an ill thought out plan.

What are these fear tactics you speak of? because what I see is someone who said that he has a few choices and that is the one he thinks is best. Its like you want him to settle an economic debate that even the brightest in the world cant settle

Well, Kucinich isn't President so I guess I'll have to settle for being interested in whether Obama follows through on what he said he would do on the subject. That's going to have to suffice for today.

Yeah, I hear Obama likes a good joke.

Then I'll be sure NOT to send a bad joke like you to him. :p
