I've been watching the Governor races keep being called for the Republicans. The House victories are impressive, but the Governor races set the stage for 2012.

Still looking for results for PA and IL.

NYTimes called the governor race for NY for Cuomo long ago. They already had the article written. Paladino never had a chance.

I am really hoping Pat Toomey wins in PA over Sestak. The Senate could really use a finance guy that also knows small business.

It's odd, the majority of the PA House Seats and the PA Gov have/are going GOP, but its starting to look like the Senate seat isn't going to flip.

I'm glad at least one Democrat recognizes this. The entire party ran away from their record instead of even attempting to sell it to the people. The Republican propaganda machine set the context for this entire campaign run and it remained largely unchallenged by anyone.

Sestak is a very likable guy (though not to his staff!), a real work horse (which is a good thing for constituents,) seems to have overcome the inferences of corruption.

He also got some endorsements from Republicans and that may have swayed some independents, maybe enough to win -

I voted anti-incumbent in every contested office (I want to say 3/5 were uncontested) and in favor of the constitutional amendment to stop the government from raiding pension funds.

South Carolina voters continue to deliver and are projected to send Republican Tim Scott to Congress, the first African American Republican member of the House since J.C. Watts was elected in 1994 and retired in 2003!

JC Watts, now there's a guy that I wish would run again. Great Representative.

Hey, it looks like Coons has been called over O'Donnell in Delaware. Not a surprise, but I heard they were having a light return in New Castle County, where the bulk of Democrats are expected to carry the election. She may still have a chance?

Thank heavens she DIDN'T win here.. I would have been mortified. Obviously Delaware is inhabited by many intelligent folks. I'm very proud of my state, tonight. 😀

Sometimes it seems like a minor thing when we are but one of millions, but voting is the only personal say many have in choosing those who are supposed to be representing our interests.

I was thinking of your thread comments when I drove two and a half hours each way this morning to get to my polling place. It was the topic of a discussion with my twelve year old son during the drive as he wanted to know why we were doing the drive only to cast a vote.

I'd have cast a vote for McMillan if I wasn't concerned that he wasn't siphoning votes from Cuomo. Not that Cuomo is an ideal candidate, but the more you learn about Paladino, the more you realize, "wtf were the tea party candidates thinking."
Oh, I know what they were thinking: "we're mad and we want change. Therefore we're going to find a millionaire willing to run for governor for us to vote for. We're not really concerned about his opinions on anything except that he's mad too and he wants change."

Considering Cuomo pulled off this massive fraud disguised as being anti-corruption I'd hoped he'd get denied, but we here in NY haven't been screwed enough by Albany I guess.

Looks like another screwing for western NY coming soon.
