JC Watts, now there's a guy that I wish would run again. Great Representative.

Intelligent and personable. I've met him on 3 different occasions and had the opportunity to sit across the table from him during lunch once. Really wish he would run again and be back in the national spotlight.

That's what you Republicans did before Obama got in.

Obama was extremely popular when he took office. Go find some election night 2008 threads. Even us Republicans were hoping that he might be able to do some kind of good.

But at this point he is well on his way to being Jimmy Carter part 2 or as some say Nixon part 2 with his enemies list etc.

Good man!

Sometimes it seems like a minor thing when we are but one of millions, but voting is the only personal say many have in choosing those who are supposed to be representing our interests.

I was thinking of your thread comments when I drove two and a half hours each way this morning to get to my polling place. It was the topic of a discussion with my twelve year old son during the drive as he wanted to know why we were doing the drive only to cast a vote.

Seriously, thanks!

I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose freewill

He'll never be Jimmy Carter.

He passed Health Care Reform.

That alone, is a success.

I remember when he had the rebuttal to one of Clinton's State of the Union addresses. I wondered "when is this guy going to run for President?". Couple years later he steps down. He never wanted to be a career politician, he came and did what he said he was going to do and then left.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is re-elected. MSNBC talking heads, led by Chris Matthews, go into meltdown, can't understand why their attack questions go unanswered.

Watching Boehner having an emotional moment right now, recounting his ordinary life growing up, his experience as a small business man and his decision to go into politics.

This election vindicates him in ways that the opposition can't begin to understand.

I agree he is less of a president than Jimmy Carter who was a turd.

He passed Health Care Reform.

he didn't pass squat, all he did was sign a massive POS Law that nobody read before voting on it

That alone, is a success. NOT

Wow! John Kasich (R) will win Ohio governorship! And R's dominate the whole spectrum of state offices there.

Pat Toomey (R) looks set to win PA Senate seat as final numbers show him with a lead!

I'm glad I decided to watch the CNN election returns show (following Fox on-line). I think they've shown Sonja Kinski's Pom Wonderful ad five times tonight...

ugh. I'm disappointed that Harry Reid is probably going to keep his seat.

as much as I want the democratic vote, I want him fucking out as majority leader. he's a waste.

Sharron Angle would be a terrible price to pay to get rid of Senator Reid. Pray the Democrats attain some small semblance of sanity and select a new Leader on their own.

Obama had two years with both houses of Congress.

He passed Health Care Reform.
He passed the Stimulus Act, Troubled Asset Relief Program. (TARP)

The Judiciary may still call Health Care Reform unconstitutional.

Not quite

The country went all Republican for 6 years from 2002 to 2008, when Bush/Rove did the most damage with their America hating agenda.

Rove pumped $3 billion into this election and they have their America hating control back except for the President spot until 2012.

CNN calls California Governorship for Jerry Brown (D).

Expect eBay listing fees to increase as Meg Whitman tries to make back the $150 million she wasted.
