Someone PLEASE confirm that multiplayer will be available for the PC version. I know the XBOX version has multiplayer (confirmed at E3)... but someone tell me the PC version will!
Yes, the PC version will have multiplayer. In fact there will be a big tournament at Quakcon in August featuring Doom3.

Hmmm... why wasn't it reviewed in that PC Gamer review? They probally reviewed a beta or the review could be fake.
There will several Doom3 reviews in September, not just PC Gamer. They all received beta installations (presumably without multiplayer) a couple months ago. The articles were supposed to hit the stands in June/July, but were delayed a month to coincide with the release in August.

The reviews are anything but fake. They probably just didn't get multiplayer with the beta discs.

Why would they fake the review like that? Maybe he just didn't write about it?

I dont think the MP aspect was completely finished when the reviewed it, to be honest.

I'm going to wait and see how it does (I too have a 9700 Pro). At this moment I'd be inclined toward a 6800GT if I end up upgrading, but I imagine the game will run passably on what I have.

I have a 9700 PRO currently installed, but a X800 XT is on the way. To be perfectly honest, I think the 9700 PRO will be fine, just be sure you have atleast a gig or RAM.

Just upgraded my CPU to a P4 3.4GHz :) I have 2GB of PC3200 in dual channel and a 9800Pro. Cannot for the life of me find a 6800GT or x800XT in stock anywhere... :(

I almost have the same system Shagga but I am running only 1 gig of RAM...I hope that will be enough for good performance in DOOM 3.

I hope they put it mainly on DVD. I wanted to get UT2004 on DVD but couldn't find it easily (I didn't look too hard, but every store I went to had the multi-cd version), so I just haven't bought it.

D3 I will buy though, and same with HL2.

what are the specs needed to play it?
Cray Supercomputer with BitBoys video card :p

I don't think the 1st generation Bitboys card will do...I think we'll have to wait till generation 2. It's release will probably coincide with the release of DNF (actually...the release of the 1st generation card will probably coincide with that release).

Did those guys ever release anything more than press releases and spec sheets? I mean, the company had to have been doing something right?
