In WoW I could run 2 instances with 1 computer (from 2 WoW directories with 2 full versions of the game). I can't do that with D3 without supplemental software, which I assumes breaks the TOA. Although I haven't tried too hard yet, it might be as simple as renaming the exe file.

Running it on 2 separate computers should never be illegal, because how do they know it's not just 2 people in the same household playing?

Thing about multiboxing though is you have to use loot alert and that is bannable. Blizzard doesn't care if you have multiple accounts, so long as they were paid for. 2 people in the same house would be fine, so long as they have different accounts. Can't share accounts for Blizzard games.

Anything that would inhibit revenue for Blizzard is bannable. It's not like they're some large company with millions of net profit every year or something... >.>

Nonsense. If limitations on re-specs are so bad, then they would let you change class at will. Games with limited or no re-spec options and complex build options have sort of a game within the game of developing the best possible build.

This is just one of many things where plays *think* they want it because it makes the game easier, but in the end it makes the game less fun in the long term.

Yup. I NEVER heard ANYONE in the nearly DECADE I played D2 complain that you couldn't redistribute states. If anything, it was a positive to build a whole new character. It was fun. If you're NOT the type that likes specing out new characters, then you're not the type that would enjoy D2 or any game like that in the first place. No one is playing D3 for the storyline, it's trash.

Not being able to respec on demand is ridiculous. It's a major design flaw. Allowing it is one of the things Diablo 3 does right.

Diablo 3, WoW, and Borderlands all allow it. Path of Exile is going the wrong way by not.

From all the bitching on the General Chat channels about how Diablo 3 sucks unless you're a loser who plays 1000 hours or has a credit card, re-specing seems like a reasonable feature.

What respeccing is allowed in D3? You can't even pick anything except the skills you use. It's like a freaking CoD game except your load out is the skills you want to use.

Borderlands, WoW, and Path of Exile actually make you pick talents/skills.

Auction house still running like turd... Been like this for days.

Same here, yet I don't see any complaints on the forums about it so I don't know what the deal is. I'm hoping Tuesday brings maintenance that will fix it.

Oh, and a day later I got that item that "disappeared" when the AH was acting up last week. The auction was just marked as canceled and the item just showed up in my completed list. I'm assuming the person who bidded on it also got his money back.

[edit] There are threads open now on bnet forums for this. So I guess more people are noticing now.

I started the game up again this weekend out of sheer boredom and had a pretty good time. I geared up my Demon Hunter fairly easy through the marketplace and started working on leveling up my paragon level. In the short amount of time I played I found a few legendaries and a couple of set items.

It seems like I will enjoy it more now that I'm not hardcore about it and only play for an hour or two.

just in case you guys are interested... it's on the AH.

Has this become the Diablo 3 bashing thread? If so can we go ahead and start new threads, because I actually love this game and want to have a legitimate discussion.

this game have a lot of cry babies... :whiste:

This thread hasn't been too bad though. What gets me is the bnet diablo 3 general discussion where people compose long winded complaints on the game. You must not hate the game that much if you are willing to spend hundreds of hours playing and hours writing a thesis on what you don't like on it.

Selling some nice barb gear:

HUGE damage ring, better than almost all CC/CD/AVGD Unities and Wailing hosts because of the 5.5 (vs 4.5 cc) and much better than most attack speed trifectas because 40+ avg damage and 150+ strength >>>>>> basic AS/CC/CD/STR trifecta.

Slightly inferior version of the ring above

Here is basically an IK best without the armor, an IK chest with these exact stats is probably over ~250m

Decent lacunis, they have 9% AS which is very important

Very good offhand, huge vitality and good strength, big CD. Combined with the chest piece, decent 150+ vit pants, mempo/IK helm and any boots with vit, you are done. No more ruining jewelry by trying to squeeze in vit. 1.4 APS, important for WW barbs.

Good basic shoulders, big strength.

Taking all reasonable offers. No low balls, will be ignored.

i hope not. i'm still active in the game and playing a monk now 😀 trying to get him to a respectable paragon level but i'm getting owned on MP1. can't afford any high dps weapons yet.

Starting out as a monk, use Life Per Spirit Spent, Life on Hit, Life Regeneration, and boost your dexterity/Resist All/single resist with One With Everything and Seize the Initiative with a high Attack Speed.

Once you have enough gold, then you can move toward higher DPS and more Life Steal.

get an amulet with high life on hit (700+) and switch to Fist of Thunder - Thunderclap. this will give you enough life on hit to sustain through most monsters in mp1.

Like others have said, Life on Hit, and Life steal. As your dps increases, drop the life on hit for life steal. You won't find too many high-dps weapons with life on hit, you'll be able to find Life steal much easier..

I haven't logged on in over a month, but hit me up later I may have some old monk gear you can use.

I am in the same boat with my barb, and found increasing your vitality in big chunks without sacrificing to much resist helps a bit. I can do MP2 Act 3 with my 1H that gives only +112 vitality, but if I switch it out with a higher dps without any Vit I get killed nearly instantly against some elites.

LOH and Life steal are useful, but if you don't have enough HP to absorb a couple of hits then they wouldn't help.

for those of you that dual wield with a barb, how do you know what good weapons are for it?

I use a skorn, and before that sword & board. I have no idea how dmg is calculated when you dual wield, especially for ww'ing, so any help is appreciated

when you WW, the weapon alternates per tick of damage. so basically its just the average. if you equip a legendary, it will have a chance to proc legendary effects on every other tick of dmg. so if you use something like echoing fury for your shield hand weapon, the fear will only have a chance to proc half the time you whirlwind.

run like the wind tornadoes damage are based off of main hand weapon (the left weapon on the character screen), but the attack speed is based off the weapon speed of the last weapon swung (this is essentially your offhand weapon). if you use echoing fury for your shield hand weapon, the fear does not proc from your tornado damage.

weapons master only works on main hand weapons.
