I made 50+million doing this, and I was pretty quick at buying them almost instantly, so if you searched a second or two after me, you'd have no chance at getting it. But now I'm not even seeing these deals. It would be way more profitable than botting the actual game for gold, though this way you'll be competing with other people(though there are many different things you can be searching for)

People actually pay millions for shit?

I usually do a search then go straight for the last page or look for <200k items🙂. I've seen a bunch of items with 2 billion gold buyouts (half that starting bid)... Like really?

I tend to throw random rare shit I have no use for onto the AH for less than 100k. Way I see it, I'd make less than a thousand dumping it on the merchant, so whatever. And I'm too lazy to do "market research" on anything other than uniques. I've only had twice since starting - one was a level 6 thing I pu ton for $75k, which probably got flipped for a million for some stupid reason.

my prob with inferno is mobs that you simply cant get away from, those fing frog like things in act 1 that leap/ naturally run fast, how the f do you keep them away from you to do any damage, yea as a wiz i can run/telly around and let my hydra kill them for 10 min, but the moment i stop to cast anything there is a near 50/50 chance i get 1 shot, i think its more lke 90% on my DH

What I hate the most about them and the Lacuni as well, is the fact that if they jump at you then you actually have to wait until the jumping and landing animations finish playing before any hits you land on them can register. I mean it as a Barbarian player but I guess it's the same with other classes. I do have other classes but I can't remember if that problem is the exact same with my own Monk and my DH, I'd have to check again, but I'd guess the situation is the same for all classes. And those frog-like creatures you speak of (forget their name), they have their unique ability (and animation) when they burrow underground, but if for example you try to hit them with any attack WHILE they start their burrowing animation (even though they are NOT entirely burrowed underground yet) you pretty much miss all the time until they get back to the surface.

Additionally, the same applies for that bigger Lacuni variant, the one that duel-wields katanas or something and does that combo-like animation attack, during that animation they're invulnerable even if visually you did hit them, not to mention that if I'm not mistaken that animation cannot be interrupted by the player or any attacks, once it starts, it plays out completely, and if the mob "had to die" during the animation then the animation still plays out and the mob dies AFTER the animation is over. Another example of animations having to play out entirely before the player can actually damage the mob are some zombies in the Halls of Agony, those that come from under some door frames with fire at the bottom, they crawl on the ground to stand up, that animation makes them invulnerable even if on-screen your swings or your spells (or arrows, or whatever you throw at them) "hit" them physically.

In other words, if you move your cursor on them while that animation plays out you have no actual target to hit, even though the animation of your own attacks would visually hit them. One last example I can think of by heart (I know there's others), those giant bat-like winged creatures in Act III, flying demon thingies, their landing animation needs to be played completely before your hits can register on them.

That, honestly, pisses me off.

Started a DH. It is a nice change of pace from a monk. It seems more challenging as my monk steamrolled normal. The DH is actually requiring me to use traps. Normally just oh shit moments.

Just got through Act III Inferno, no real difficulties.

130K DPS DH.

I would say for fellow DH's, Act I requires 45K DPS (basically Hell gear), Act II requires 70K DPS (focus on +crit dmg, +crit chance, +max discipline, obviously dex), Act III is nice around 125K DPS but I would assume 90K is possible.

For gear, make sure your helm and bracers have a +crit chance stat. Both rings, the amulet, and gloves should have +crit dmg,IAS, and dex. Quiver and chest should have +max discipline. Weapon should have crit dmg and IAS.

IAS on the legendary helm and bracers is nice but I wouldn't dish out the gold before the IAS nerf.

Are those numbers with or without SS ? Im at 30k w/o and about 51-53 with I think ? Stuck on the beginning of Act II so that kinda makes sense.

yeesh, I already have a 1033 dps bow.. guess im gonna have to re-look at my gear..

I cant do it.. I would literally hulk smash my whole house if I lost it after any significant amount of time. Esp if it was due to a technicality like lag etc..

Filter your AH search to the following

2handed
Bow
50,000 gold buyout

Click, search, then click on DPS column to sort by highest DPS first.

And yes, any 2 hander less than 1100 dps with no stats, i throw away. Any 1 hander less than 900 dps with no stats i throw away.

If they have primary stats or the DPS is higher, i will put on AH.

BTW, majority of my money I got from getting armor drops. Even farming Act III siegebreaker forever, I hardly get weapons worth selling, but plenty of armor pieces.

doing this depends on the item

they put that BO because they want people to just bid on it and are not sure of a buyout. by putting up the item with a 2B buyout, they also have their item show up as one of the first to list when ordering by max buyout

you HAVE to be lvl 60 to find it, you wont see a high DPS wep below 60

You either have to be 60, or manually enter to look up-to 60 in the level field(s).


By default you go in with the char you are logged in on, so if a 52DH and you enter bow, 50k, blablabla, it wont come up since you cant use higher than your level.. aka it will sort by your class/level unless otherwise specified

If you add the level qualifier, or change to a generic char in the player field it should work, even @ 52

i only played hardcore in D2, which wasn't that bad TBH as hell was prob easier then hell in D3, act 2 sucked on some classes and act 4 could be rough as melee because of iron maiden but really it was not bad, and losing gear was annoying but it was easily farmable/tradeable if you ran a bot like pindle, which everyone on the HC ladder seemed to do

i run hungering + either split or devouring + elemental + nether tent, before i got it i ran ball lightning. honestly leveling up it was simply put down caltrops back up 10 feet LOL ball lightning, pretty sure thats basically all i did

I don't have 200 million gold lying around. To get the good stuff you need the gold for now. Starting tomorrow the RMAH goes live.

LOL, you don't need anywhere NEAR 200 mil to farm Inferno.

Maybe 6-7 mil on the weapon and 10-15 on everything else at the very most.

For me to upgrade what I have I would need that much gold due to the AH or get really lucky with a drop.

My DH does 66k DPS with no SS right now and my bow was 25 million off the AH a few days ago. My quiver was a steal at 250k, only thing it lacks is discipline to me. I do fine getting 5 stacks and farming in Inferno, but it is to a point that nothing but crap drops and I can;t wait for the next patch to fix this horrid droprate for inferno items from their respective acts.

apparently this has been going on for weeks, which explains how people have billions of gold. Game is broken, lol.

As I type this there's horrible lag spikes hitting pretty much everyone, just entered the General Chat channel out of curiosity, leaving it open for just five seconds was enough confirmation. I died two times due to the lag as well. I wonder how many Hardcore players died during those spikes.

That lag reminds me of Diablo 2 back when the Uber Tristram exploit was causing server(s)-wide lag for everyone, which took Blizzard months to fix almost completely (it never really recovered when I still played, not sure right now how it is though). I bet that the lag we've been experiencing since the past week or so is at least in some part due to the surely high number of bot accounts constantly switching between accounts and starting up and leaving and re-starting up games. Not sure how much any servers out there could sustain that, and if so, how much of it can be sustained.

It's annoying anyhow (bots or not).

Yeah, with the cancel transaction exploit I posted a day or so ago, apparently there has been a dupe method using that. If people can bid on your item, which you can do by making a decently low bid price and extreme buyout price, when you cancel the auction, apparently you get the gold and item back doing the rollback glitch.

Or the second way was to just have someone buy your item you know, then you get the item back and the gold as well.

I wouldn't blame anyone who used that method to just cancel their auctions. That should have been a feature from the start, what's the point of not being able to cancel an auction whenever we want? I used the method myself on two occasions for many items each time. They (Blizzard) can obviously track down all characters and accounts' activity since almost everything is logged (much more than what we are even aware of).

If Blizzard ever intends to ban people whom wanted to cancel their auctions using that method because they (Blizzard) would just suspect that they (those who just canceled their auctions) also did that to "dupe Gold", without any actual case-by-case investigations I can easily see a wave of rage coming against them, from the community.

Anyways, id advise anyone from doing any D3 activity until tomorrow. Most likely we are going to see some type of rollback here, even though dupers have been doing it for a week or so. The Asia realm has already gotten a rollback to 3 days ago I believe. Seems odd since the dupe has been going on for quite a while now but...

Id honestly like to see it get fully rolled back to day one, everyone can start over. I find that fun anyways. 😛 Probably not the majority of opinion though.

Your weapon (pref a 2H crossbow) needs to have a crit dmg, a socket, and IAS in that order priority wise (if you have all of those plus dex than you have a gem on your hands), so if thats 1033 dps with non of those stats it makes sense.
