Best Buy sent my pre-order on time for once and it was here when I got home. Installing now! Work tomorrow though... fug. Should call sick... Not kidding.

They still have the Diablo 2 servers running to this day.
 
Are the Collector's Edition dyes a multi-use item? I looked on a Diablo Wiki and it doesn't say; however, the normal dyes do have a description that states that they change the appearance of one piece of armor. The special dyes do not have this.

So I just now killed the Skeleton King and have put in 3 hours and 15 minutes (didn't spoiler tag SK since I think everybody is aware at this point). I should say, though, that I'm OCD about breaking every barrel, busting every loose stone, and uncovering every single bit of the map. Even at the part where
you get to the cemetery and have 3 different entrances to get into the crypt (or whatever it was called), I got the SK's crown from the first one and still took the time to completely clear the other two even though there wasn't any sense.

This game is going to take me a while the first time through.

Yes, you can use them as many times as you like - the items remain in your inventory.
 
Picked this up today with a coworker during work. I wasn't going to buy it, but I wasn't planning on not buying it, it just wasn't really on my radar.

I haven't installed it yet, but I read through the manual. None of the characters really appeal to me. I don't want to play a ranged character really, or just a plain barbarian but I don't want to have to juggle 100 different spells.

I wanted to play a necromancer, but apparently they don't exist anymore? I see the witch doctor is similar, but I don't want to have to mess around with potions and curses and stuff like that.

I really hope I can find a character that I like and this doesn't turn out to be a waste of money.
 
For those that care, D3 works OK on my work travel machine (i5-2540M + HD3000). Graphics are set to low, but its playable and definitely fun. Looking forward to getting home this weekend and trying on my desktop, but it's nice to have something that will play fine on the road!
