was dointg VOTA runs yesterday and with the pool thingie we were getting 27 mill XP per run 2 manning it on T2 or 3
 
Oh and BTW, with the new Clans and such, is AT started a clan?
Would be nice to have one and team up from time to time!
 
My frozen orb bulid wizard killed Diablo on Torment 2 last night. About 6 rares, but it was more to see if I could do it. I have about 70 DPS. It took me 3 tries. My mirror self was harder than Diablo. That is what killed me the first to times. I mainly just avoided myself. Now I know what the mobs feel like with spells flying everywhere. I use mirror and blizzard to keep mobs at bay. Seems to work and I assume the blizzards that my mirrors cast also increases my damage by 10% like mine does. Does anyone know for sure?

Before switching to frozen orb I was using all the shields with frozen armor with the rune that increases your armor. It was fun being all tank like. It was slower, but I could stare down even most elites on Torment 2. I would hit with spectral blades and drop meteors and when it got to rough cast mirror and run back a little.

It is really fun trying out new builds now. Would like to try out something with sleet and frozen armor with the rune that damages nearby enemies. Might be slower, but it just sounds like fun walking up to a mob and having it fall over dead.
 
What is with some of the items you find being locked? They are lvl 60 items for current classes. Are the attributes on them only available in the expansion? They didn't look like anything really special.
 
Cursed Chest farm is the best for XP. I was getting around 50 mil per run last night. Cathedral 3 -> down to Cath 2 to check for it and then make a new group. Runs take very little time with 3 Archon wizards and a Cyclone Monk.

If you link the item in chat it shows it's true level. Had one that said 60 in my inventory, it showed as 61 in the chat window popup
 
I'm having a hard time finding upgrades too...if i'm lucky I get sidegrades (+DPS/-HP or vice versa). I got a Maximus last sunday and it gives me -28% DPS/+1.9% HP...not worth it at all but the swrod sound so nice...

I'm already low on DPS (around 56-58K) and I don't want to lose anymore.

I can't wait for the expansion to come out to actually get some upgrades. I just want to find 1 nice upgrade dropping for me before the 25th just to "know the feeling" lol. Apart from my belt last night, which sound cool, nothing so far was dimmed a suitable upgrade.

But game is fun so can't complain.
 
I don't recall the name, but I found some fun legendary bracers that allow gold pickup to also give experience. They also have a ~+27% to gold find. With the community event and my diffiiculty level, I gained three paragon levels last night in an hour's play. No specific runs or anything. Just the Keep in Act III on Torment 1. (From 12 paragon to 15)

I'll be pre-ordering the expansion when I get home today. The game is actually fun again.

I played the starter version/edition for about 30 minutes last night and immediately felt the same rush I got when I used to play Diablo 2.

Hopefully there will be a good deal on the base game and expansion sometime soon. Paying ~$70 for both is a bit too steep. :/

WHats the quest route? and how much XP per hour roughly?

Yea I started the starter edition a couple of days ago and last night beat the Skeleton King on a wizard. I had a lot of fun, so I plan on picking up the game. I'll probably go through the starter on each character before I purchase to get an idea what I want to play.
 
Most of my finds (legendaries included) aren't upgrades, but I've definitely found some. That 1st legendary I found 30mins into playing the new patch was a good upgrade. Then I had a drought for a several hours before finding another upgrade.

In all, I've gone from around 86k/39k DPS/HP to 125k/115k with about 6-7 hours played I think. Most of my finds have cost me -resist all, but I think the huge HP jump was well worth it so far.

Wow nice man! I think i'll have to reverse my DPS/HP lol (58/99) and find more Resist all and other defensive stuff like that. I feel my Barb could be a lot better then he is right now, not that he sucks, he actually kill stuff and is fun as hell to play.

Need to play more!

I pick the 4th quest in Act 1 > Port to Cath 3 > Run to Cath 2 and check for a chest. TP / quit out. You get over 50mil XP in a 4 group on T6. Takes maybe 3 minutes to do. If you have 4 people searching, it doesn't take long to find a chest. Legendary drop rate seems pretty good, but they are all junk. >_<
 
I think the UI for inventory items is capped at 60. Funny thing though, none of those items are ever upgrades for me.

From a programming stand point it seems like a funny place for a cap. I assume they have a reason. But, you would think the base item class would contain the cap. And the inventory would just display whatever it is. Seems like it would be easy to create a bug where the item is one thing, but it displays something different.

It might have to do with iLevel and if it was over 60, it defaults to displaying 60. I am sure they originally didn't account for them to actually have a higher requirement and it didn't get picked up during testing, or wasn't a big enough deal to fix in the patch.
