It's over... Fumble recovered by the Sooners. Probably gonna jump over the Longhorns tomorrow in the BCS rankings.

That freaking song the band is playing is driving me up the wall!! :|

i think the words to it are 'boomer sooner,' and only 'boomer sooner.' no one knows wtf 'boomer' means. and a sooner is a man who came too early.

that was the 3rd 4th and goal the sooners had tonight?

They are going for that 60+. 4 60+ games in as many games. If I were Texas Id be praying for a miracle in OU losing vs Mizzou in the Big 12 title game.

we don't have to pray for anything. ou isn't losing to mizzou.

Well better be happy with the Fiesta Bowl.

Tech gets the Cotton and Mizzou will get the Holiday.

hAHHA style points 😉 Go for 2!!

classy bob

Its not a shock. They went for a td on 4th and goal beating Tech 65 to 14.

ROFLMAO!! OMG, your inability to understand football is truly hilarious. That wasn't an attempt to run up that score, that was mercy. They ran a half-assed play to give TT a chance to make the stop. Tacking on 3 points to a rout would have been considered running up the score.

i think florida would blow out OU, they actually play defense

The Harris Poll voters will look at who will play the best game against Florida. That's how they will decide their vote. I think it will be interesting to see who gets the last at-large bid: Boise State or Ohio State. Most likely Ohio State since the bowl organizer will get to decide.

What is this "Alabama" you speak of? 😉

But seriously, a lot of people are predicting Florida to beat Alabama. I just don't think Alabama has the defense to beat Florida. Only 7 days until we find out.

lol @ the douche with the horns down. doesn't change the result of the game in dallas.

the cornhuskers never did figure out why the sooners shouted about beating UT when OU and UNL used to play a rivalry game back in the Big 8.

hopefully they take into account OU's record in BCS games too before making the decision

You mean 2 for 5 with one National Championship win?

Damn it, I was rooting for Okie State to pull off the upset. That would have sent TTU to the Big-12 Championship and with Crabtree hurt, Mizzou may have been able to pull off the upset.

And it doesn't change 39-33 either. You still can't quite grasp that.

lol you're still around? sorry, but tech isn't in the equation. the only question people are asking is who should go to the big 12 title game between texas and ou. texas beat ou. you can't seem to grasp that.

Tech isn't in the equation 'coz OU beat them. Very handily I might add. The same Tech team that outgained Texas by over 200 yards. The same Tech team that had the lead against Texas till last 2 mins.

When you have a 3 way tie like this you have to throw out the head to head games and look at their body of work outside those games.

When you consider OU's incredibly consistent and impressive offensive output (4 straight games of 60+ points to close out the season, only 4 games under 50 points, and their lowest output is 35 points...) coupled with a much more impressive non conference resume - beating TCU (10-2) and Big East champion and BCS bowl bound Cincinnati (10-2) - I think most will agree that OU is the best of the 3 teams.

They're both giving up about 11 points a game while bama is getting just over 30 florida is doing almost 50. Excluding florida's brainfart lose, the only team they played that sniffed 20 points was LSU when they took out most of the first teamers with a quarter or so to go as they already had them up by 40. They played a lot of the same teams this year and where bama would come with a 10 or so point margin against the better SEC opponents, florida blew them all away.
