But if the Harris released earlier like they usually do, it should be known. OU has the Coaches and the computers. UT would have to be ahead substaintially in the Harris.
if mizzou beats ou in the big xii championship, would that allow any hope for texas to make the title game?
It would be a hard argument considering they didn't win their conference.

Computers are fcked, no way in hell OU should be ahead of Texas after Texas THRASHED THEM AT OKLAHOMA. In addition, Texas's only loss was on the last play of the game. Bunch of BS this computer crap is. Who cares if OU beat two more top 25 teams such as Cincy (only got the Big East bid b/c WVU and Pitt choked and they were the lucky third place default). Obama needs to convince these money hungry pigs to have a playoff stat, no point in even watching this horse manure anymore.

first, the game was in Dallas, not at home. The game is in Dallas every year.

second, a 10 point game is not a 'thrashing'.

You would do well to learn something about the situation before typing.

if floriduh beats alabama will UT be able to stay ahead of them and set up an OU UT BCS game?

UT needs OU to lose in the Big 12 title game and Alabama to win in the SEC title game to make sure UT makes it to the NCG. USC wont jump Texas. Texas will remain where they are at unless teams above them lose.

It doesnt matter. No one other than Florida has a shot at jumping UT. USC isnt going to jump Texas with a win of UCLA. If OU and Florida both lose Texas has a 100% shot at the title game. If OU and Alabama lose Texas has a ~75% shot at going to the title game.

assuming OU losees, if florida wins who else would be there? alabama? they're already behind UT in the computers and would fall behind UT in the voters. would the voters jump tech to consensus 1? i doubt it, the bloom has come off that rose.

of the 1 loss teams, texas's 1 loss is still the 'best': on the road, at night, playing the 7th straight game with no bye, playing the 4th highly ranked team in 22 days, and lost on essentially the last play of the game. if what happens on the field is supposed to matter, the circumstances of that loss have to matter.

A&H really rate being undefeated highly. and they must take into consideration something like what order the schedule was in or when the go ahead points were scored, as must massey, because we're ahead of OU in both.

The computers for the most part take into account wins, losses and sos. Against the top 30, OU is 5-1 and UT is 3-1. Thats why they won the computers.

OU wins
#7 Texas Tech
#11 TCU
#13 Cincy
#14 Okie State

OU losses
#3 Texas

UT wins
#2 OU
#14 Okie State
#20 Mizzou

UT losses
#7 Texas Tech

If there was a playoff, why are you so sure UT would beat OU? OU is playing is a lot better than they were two months ago.

National champion should be crowned in the SEC championship game this weekend.....

Big 12 teams should withdraw from the BCS with defenses that stink that bad......

lol, they are? last time i checked, their d was still susceptible to the big play, and they are still giving up 30+ to everyone they plan (sans tech). i can easily say texas is playing a lot better than they were 2 months ago as well. their secondary has grown leaps and bounds ahead of what it was.

The BSC ranking is so surreal.

TX beat OK. TX is top of it's conference due to head to head play.
But yet OK gets the #1 nod.

DOES NOT COMPUTE.

wrong.

Texas was not the top of the conference since they were tied with texas tech & OU.

This is also a Texas Team that Ok. St had on the ropes in Austin, which Oklahoma in turn drubbed.

OU is well on the way to their 6th Big XII title in 10 years.

End of story.

texas was getting tired during that ok state game. that was clear. that was their 6th game without a bye, third game against a really good opponent. tech couldn't get by three good opponents in a row (and had to win on a last second play to get by the first), and OU didn't play three good opponents in a row all year. and the game over the weekend wasn't a drubbing. if bradford didn't have two fumbles come right back at him or if gresham doesn't have every tip come straight for him ok state maybe has the win. as it was it was a shootout until the late stages of the 4th quarter.

after watching both that and the kansas-mizzou game, i'm not certain why teams aren't kicking it out of bounds to the 35 instead of letting all these kick returners slash them.

the only reason OU is going to the championship instead of texas is because of the big xii's retarded tie breaker system which they are already in the process of changing.

i think florida would blow out OU, they actually play defense

The Harris Poll voters will look at who will play the best game against Florida. That's how they will decide their vote. I think it will be interesting to see who gets the last at-large bid: Boise State or Ohio State. Most likely Ohio State since the bowl organizer will get to decide.

hopefully they take into account OU's record in BCS games too before making the decision

You mean 2 for 6 with one National Championship win?

Fixed.

Oklahoma has been to the most BCS games, but they have the 4th worst winning percentage of the 17 teams that have been to more than one BCS game.

How the hell is OU playing better? Especially on defense? They gave up 41 points to OSU! Even scrub teams like Colorado (30pts allowed), Baylor (34pts allowed), and Washington State (39 pts allowed) gave up LESS than OU did. Maybe OU's offense is clicking better, but their defense is still lackluster and well below Texas's.

and a dropped interception on the play before negates that. the fact remains, their secondary is much better now than they were at the beginning of the year. you can't argue against it.
