I just finished watching Samurai Deeper Kyo after reading parts of the manga. Man that was disappointing. They totally screwed it up. I guess they were trying to put the entire manga into 26 episodes and cut out and changed the story around. Thats kinda understandable..but then they make the bad guys turn into evil monsters even though the manga had them all as very human, and that totally lost me.
And this is the second anime I've seen where they paint Oda Nobunaga as a demon. I guess he's not very well liked by the Japanese.

Is it just me or are Trinity Blood episodes anywhere from 2-4 minutes shorter than other shows?
Hopefully it's not another DBZ-esque stare/groan/flex fest between Kenpachi and Ichigo. :evil:

Have they ever made a live-action that was on par or better than the anime?
i'm familiar with some of the actors and actress in the film, so that alone will be interesting. the plot, which i already know, will be waaaaaaaay off from the anime. but at least there won't be any super color neons or rice mobiles.

Since I'm pretty new to fansubbed anime (the last 6 months or so), can someone explain to me why some shows are brief (12 eps) or only run for one season (26 eps), others go for 2, and still others (Naruto etc) go on and on? Is there any real reason? Will we ever see "another" Air or Mai Hime?

rumor has it that there will be another My Hime, however Air is done as the story finished IIRC
sometimes they only have enough manga to run only 13 or 26 eps like School Rumble.
sometimes theres no money to run a second season, they cancel or soemthing.
sometimes they don't know how well it would be received so they only schedule 13 eps
Naruto and Inuyasha and remember Ranma? have enough popularity and enough manga to run for more than a season.
some of us used to upload to the atot ftp server hosted by fatkorean, but it seems to be down.
