I think he means go here

Personally, I have a Perl script that I found somewhere and modified to access the RSS feed from TokyoTosho, parse it for a couple of regular expressions and automatically grab the *.torrent file. I then have btlaunchmanycurses.py running in the same folder where the torrent file is saved to automatically start downloading it. I modified btlaunchmanycurses.py a little bit to automatically stop downloading after I've reached an appropriate download/upload ratio so that I don't have to manually stop it.

I do all this with Perl and btlaunchmanycurses.py because I do this from a console-only (no X) Linux machine that I have running all the time. If you can run Azureus or probably other non-console bittorrent clients, there are plug-ins for processing RSS feeds to automatically download the associated file.

thats way too complicated for most people

hell i dont want to even bother with figureing all that out

No way in atot history would somebody bother to read all these posts. It doesn't make sense. What is the point of this thread if people know the sites? Do people prefer the hard way to get fansubs? Can it get any easier than automated RSS downloaders? or do people just nef-post here with the excuse of posting anime? (after all, it is atot) ...

Well, there's episode discussion from time to time. It's better to keep it in one thread, otherwise we get "OMG ANIME SUCKS!" in every thread

well if you bothered to read it, you woudl see that we do often discuss the animes and such, and peopel post about new animes that they like and think are good and such, there are links in the first post made by me for links to the trackers for everry anime that i have listed in that post, so finding them isnt hard at all, read the subtitle, see if a new one is out and boom go to tracker site

and IMO checking here is easier then setting up a RSS feed dealie

This perl script might be rss2dll. I have also edited and configured this for my nix server use (since there really isn't an azureus for ssh). Link for the uninformed:

hahah yeah. i always check the sites instead of checking here. it's far easier, more reliable and quicker than waiting for somebody to post the link and going through the posts.

this really should be an anime discussion thread

I guess thats justified. Anubis: I will not waste 20 minutes of my life reading this thread ;) I just skipped to the last page >_>. You should really do the RSS "dealie". It isn't hard and saves a lot of time, unless you are at your computer 18/7 reading atot. Anyways, I'm done with this thread. See ya.

Serious discussion threads always degenerate into "OMG SASGAY PWNZ()RS JOU!!" and "CAGALLIXATHRUN 4EVER"

If you've bothered to read this thread, you could see that hasn't happened here.

thats what i was thinking....
did you build one yourself? or how much did they charge you for it?
i just settled for OneAC CP1107. it did make some immediate changes to the sound the moment i installed it to my chain; most notably, more refined with less bass bloat.

what you posted looked like a python script (i didn't really look that closely). the perl script that i modified was the one i got here: http://www.frosty-geek.net/rss-tl/

actually i appreciate hearing what people say that they like. there are a lot of different series out there and having even one person to say that they like something on this thread tells me that it's not a total waste of time. to be honest, i haven't agreed with a lot of the recommendations, but it's worth taking a look.
