this holds true for Initial D as well. The manga is sorta different, but the anime and CGI is what rolls in the $$. I believe I.D. is Pay per view in japan as well.

anyway, I think the drawing is on the decline, not only the main character looks a bit different now, the new ones (the three Sound Village bad guys) look pale and simple in comparison to one before. (zabuza and that bone guy looks awesome and well decorated, despite their relatively minor role)

yeah, looks like Naruto is starting to pick up again. Bleach on the other hand seems to just drag on slowly. Wish they could pick up the pace abit.

Has anyone tried to convert any of these to DVD? I tried converting some Naruto to DVD for my brother in law while his PC is down and the TV overscan cuts off the subtitles. Wondering if anyone else has tried and had success.

I've encountered the same problem (the subtitles getting cut off), but I figured it was because of my inexperience in converting video to DVD format. I ended up hooking up a computer to the TV instead, and using LIRC to enable a remote control.
