Definitely at step three. And the minute it gets in, it goes in here under this XP90. Duvie will be over ASAHC (as soon as he can) to help OC I think... I will post the minute I even get prelim results. Should be mon or tuesday if newegg is like normal.

Same here. I couldn't justify $13 more for 2 day shipping vs. 3 day, so mine will probably get here Tuesday or Wednesday. You can be sure that I'll be posting here the minute I get it in my A8N-E to let you all know for certain if it boots or not. :p

Doing that would only ruin their reputation and create endless support headaches for them. You will have to flash the BIOS in order to use the second core, but anyone who can't handle a BIOS flash probably won't be interested in the DFI NF4 anyway.

I think some people are under the influence that the proccessor will not be able to post at all in order for them to flash it, I believe that ASUS's EZFlash utility can flash the bios without the proccessor actually working perfectly (or in case of a bios crash) - Correct me if I'm wrong.

Does the Diamond flash image utility (DFI) have the same/different/better ability to handle weird situations such as this?

Some of us don't have another socket 939 proccessor to flash the bios with before we put the X2 in.

I don't think DFI nf4 board has such ability. And if you ask it on dfi-street about this bios question, they will ask you to send the board to them and they could flash it for you.

Step 4: Your order contents are packaged and sealed.

I'm speechless! I almost can't believe that I actually got one, and that it's shipping this evening

Here's to safe and successful X2 installations for everyone! :wine:

Woohoo, mine also.
Step 4 - Packed sealed and ready to ship :)

WTG Newegg, bit pricey, but at least they had them.

I ordered just after 10pm EST last night :)

What a coincidence; I ordered at around 9:48pm EST, according to the time the confirmation email came in...

$603 plus shipping at TigerDirect is for a retail processor. I can't wait to see what Newegg will charge for the retails once they get them in stock.

The cheapest I've seen is 598.18 - retail SHIPPED from tankguys.com , if you mention that you're from this forum, it might take a while, but from the conversations I had over email, they're very nice and responsive, unlike some other companies *hrmmm*monarch*hrmmm*....

Yeah I called monarch and they told me that IT IS THEIR POLICY to charge the credit card immediately regardless of what the shipping date is.

Exactly, and Tankguys have the retail for $600 too (as do others)...Newegg will probably want $700 for the retail version :disgust:

Thats what I said earlier.

I wonder how many pre-ordered on May 31st and will now have to wait until June 30th to get one.
Meanwhile - Monarch has his money in their bank, the customer has no CPU, AND is paying interest on the credit card purchase.

Sounds like a nice game to get into.

Has anyone that preordered with Monarch received theirs? I preordered a 4400+ on 5/31 no more than an hour or two after they showed up on Monarch's site. Still nothing. I am reluctant to cancel the order as I have already been charged for it. What to do, what to do.

All I can tell you is that Monarch recieved a lot less X2's than they were expecting, only around 15 arrived.
