Glad you actually got an answer... I asked the same thing over at DFI street and was told off by the moderator in a very rude manner that I should either buy a second older CPU to flash the BIOS first, or just have some place put a combo together for me so I wouldn't have to flash it (background: I don't have any existing 939 platform so I'll have to flash the board to the latest BIOS with an X2 already in it). I asked about flashing the DFI with an X2 over on the DFI forum and someone else replied that they asked the same question recently and were told the board will boot with an X2 on the stock BIOS and flash without any problems. I don't think DFI nf4 board has such ability. And if you ask it on dfi-street about this bios question, they will ask you to send the board to them and they could flash it for you.
