Looking at the MOH prices, looks like its the Digital Deluxe version thats $69.99, the limited is $59.99. If they are sending out the birthday codes this year Ill use it to pre-order the Limited in a couple months.

This will be new for me (my birthday was before BF3 released - I did not own this Origin junk before that).
I'm assuming this is some kind of discount?
Hopefully there is a beta, I'm not going to pre-order this game until I know if FB2 can run on my system again. I still haven't gotten BF3 to work again, and it's driving me nuts. But if Warfighter beta works and I/DICE haven't fixed BF3 by that point, I'm getting Warfighter.

I'm not overly excited that BF4 is being announced out so soon. I think BF3 has a long shelf life. I see it as a platform constantly updated with DLC for engine modifications and gameplay modes.
I'll be happier if it is for 2014/2015 debuting a possible Frostbite 3 engine.

Curious how far out BF4 Beta will be.
I thoroughly expect EA to push an annual Fall FPS release, but switch out which brand gets the honor each year. Fall 2013 would be a likely release for BF4... I wasn't sure which BF-property to expect, but with this announcement, I don't see any other candidate.
But securing beta access in Fall 2012 seems earlier than just about any other "pre-order for beta access" promotion I have ever seen. If BF4 is to release in Fall 2013, I wouldn't expect a beta until the end of Summer 2013 (August, September).
But what will be nice is if they keep this precedent up - sure, continued releases every other year might annoy some people, but if they support each release with DLC and what not right up to the last few months before the next release, that's pretty good if you ask me. They have DLC planned through Spring 2013 for BF3, then half a year later BF4 might drop. I can dig that.
I'm not holding my breath though. I wouldn't expect BF4 beta announcements to be two years ahead of retail release, and I'm not really expecting FB3 in 2013. It's possible, considering that's two years after FB2, but I suspect we'll most likely see FB2.5. FB3 around 2015 ("MOH:Warfighter 2" in Fall 2014) debuting with BF5 will likely make sense though, because that would be great timing for a new engine debut with new consoles (expect those in late 2013 or 2014, I reckon).

The battlefield series is going the way of cod i believe,BF4 coming out this soon alarms me,i doubt it will feature a new engine,instead just be more maps and perhaps new weapons.
Hope i am wrong but if BF3 goes the way of BC2,there will be players going to BF4 and BF3 will be abandoned,i still play BC2 and its virtually dead,maybe 10 usa servers at most at any given time,sometimes fewer.

Yeah , I kinda don't understand BF4 either, just push content and weapons etc for BF3. Unless it is to start charging $70 a game ,psht.
Sounds like the perfect clan for NikolaeVarius to join, maybe then he would get some enjoyment from BF3. 😛
