ANyone else get "lag" graphic when knifing someone since last patch? Its like the screen stutters as you are doing the motion. Not sure if just me..

I get it all the time... Sometimes it lags but the knifing animation does not go through... it gets me killed way too many times...:colbert:

I think there are two photobooths... one right above the first esculator and the second one near the MCOM B is suppose to be in rush...

I was on one server getting raped wondering where my teamates were - found out half of them were busy playing with the photobooth...

Im not seeing any .png files anywhere in any of my BF3 folders. I dont even have an Electronic Arts folder, just Origin Games. Ive taken some print screens so if it works they gotta be somewhere.

Why even give us a screenshot folder if they dont go there??? LOL

Another thing, why on earth can I see eveyone's ping but my own on the scoreboard? I couldnt care less about what other peoples pings are. When my friends and I enter a new server its the first thing we ask each other: "Hows my ping?" EPIC FAIL!

Supposedly its your ping to other players, not their ping to the server. Therefore, you have no ping. Another case of Dice thinking they are smarter than everyone else.

I and a friend from Sweden were alone in a New York server today, my ping was 29ms and his was 145ms. Im going to go with the last part of your post, Dice "thinks" they are smarter than everyone else. LOL
 
They really need to rebalance helos and stingers back to how they were. Two guys in a Viper can absolutely dominate now, and you can fire Stingers all day without effect. 90% of them miss, and the occassional one that hits does something like 40% damage.

I was on a server tonight where the other team dominated the air for 2 games straight. I finally got in a viper as a gunner and the other attack heli pilots that went 40-1 combined the previous game couldnt stay in the air for longer than 30 sec. The previous games I tried using the javelin, but no one would deploy soflam. I switched to stingers and 1 out of 5 would hit because of flares and range, but not enough to take them out...just annoy them. Next game I went recon to deploy soflam, but no one would use the javelin. Anyways, those guys who dominated werent even any good, but good enough to destroy everything on the ground.

To be honest, the game feels like its becoming unplayable. A decent pilot with unlocks cannot be taken out of the sky, unless its by another pilot. But if left unchecked, theres really nothing anyone on the ground can do but get dominated. At least now my assignments are done and I can go back to infantry only. I would rather play Metro 24/7 than deal with this ****.
 
Am I missing it, or is there no (longer?) any way to filter empty servers out of your server list?
Wasn't there an option to do this originally? There's an option under number of free slots for empty servers, but you can't put an X in it, only check it.

Agree, stingers are useless now. On the bright side, it has really helped me rank up my attack heli, since im not a great pilot. All I have to worry about now are those Javs.

I was gunning with an ace pilot yesterday and went 45-2. With all of his ducking and dodging and my flares the stinger users just gave up. Our two deaths were from SOFLAM and Jav.

It's not the state of the game, it's the damn client.

I can go from showing 2 games available to having 100 in a single refresh.

Looking at stats for the game, there are a minimum of 30,000 clients on in a 24 hour period and a maximum of a 100,000 over the last week. Best bet is to favorite servers you like...
 
I still hate how I get killed from stingers hitting me in the chopper, then watching my chopper with a confused gunner float towards the ground...

As a 90% of the time engi, I have to admit that I almost never repair copters, mostly because I just got out of the habit and forgot. It happened back when everytime you took off, you immediately had 5 stingers & other fire on you and it was pointless, but now, I should do it everytime.

Also, since we dont have in game voice, and no one takes the time to type it out, I really think there should be a playtips/etiquette FAQ for all players, even the ones who think they know the game. The URL should be spammed in every BF3 forum until people take the hint.

I know I have a LOT of bad habits. I wouldn't mind the criticism if it made me a better player.

I've never since release got more than maybe 10 show up at any given time. Yet when you disable all filters you get hundreds of empty servers.
 
Like its been said, I just favorite servers and haven't had any issues. I'm still stuck in love with Kharg/Caspian/Firestorm servers, so those are the only ones in my rotation lol

Good chopper/gunner combos definitely own, especially if the gunner is properly using flares here and there when necessary, but seriously one citv/guided shell is all it takes to blow em outta the sky

Stingers definitely need to do more damage though, its unfair how suckass they are right now.

Even if you don't own the Karkand dlc, check the filter for it. A lot of the servers added a few Karkand maps to their rotation and this made them appear only if you check the Karkand filter. They still play the regular maps a lot too.

Check the boxes for 1-5, 10, etc except for empty. This will list all of them except empty. A lot of 1 player servers will still show up though. I agree it's like dice messed the server browser up after the patch.

Just takes one hit from a javelin too, but people rarely lase targets. If you can get a couple of guys to use SOFLAM or CITV and another couple of Jav carrying engineers, you can shut down the helis real quick. Jets are harder to hit but they arent as much of a nuisance to infantry.
