Annoying thing about the squads is that it shows all the squads but doesn't allow you to pick the squad you want to be in (squads ). The criteria is that the lowest populated squad will be filled first and it will load balance them out like beta. For the best chance of getting into a party into the same squad is to join a medium-low pop server and hope that it fills up.

Yeah, squad mechanics are shitty right now, and if you party join, you have to make sure the party leader *ahem* doesn't try and join a 60/64 server because chances are you'll be placed on opposite teams *ahem*

Rather than use the god aweful view on the Minimap, zoom it in. You can change the level of zoom on the minimpa to suit the combat.

When In in grand bazaar I'm zooming it all the way in so I can see where the shots are comign from around corners, when you are playing a wide open map, IE caspian, zoom it out for a better view of the whole battlefield.

I use this like I use select fire (Single, Burst, Full-Auto), I'm constantly changing the setting based on my current combat situation.

Thanks - didn't know you could zoom in/out. Is there a simple keypress for that?

About squads - you can pick which squad you want to be in. It's confusing as H but it can work. I think you click "leave squad" first. Then you select the squad you want to join. After that a very small "join squad" button shows up below all the squad list. That should work for you. First hour or two I couldn't figure it out either.

Anyone else getting occasional massive frame rate drops? It doesn't appear to be a graphics subsystem problem because other than the massive drops everything is silky smooth (6870 crossfire, 3.4GHz i7 920, 6GB system). However every once in a while things will just slow to a complete crawl, almost like the game is pulling data from the HDD. I turned down MSAA a notch and it seems to have helped a bit, but I'm still getting massive drops every few minutes.

Other than that issue (and occasional crashing) loving the game so far. Can't wait to get home from work to get in my first full session!

Are you running both MSAA and ultra? You could be running out of video memory. There was talk during the beta that the MSAA/ultra combination required 1.3GB.

Hmmm, I preordered on Origin on Sept 27th but I don't have the DAO-12 or the other physical warfare items. I do have an email from Origin stating my physical warfare product unlocked a day early (Oct 24th), anyone know if I have to activate it? The DAO-12 looked fierce in the beta.

I'm pretty sure its "N". You might want to double check your key bindings.

You need to separately active the physical warfare pack key in the origin client - click the wrench icon and then "redeem product code"

Space bar to jump to the next car(as the one you were on explodes) then spam space bar to climb up if I remember right.

The DAO-12 is almost unfair, especially on the city maps. I've been having fun running around one-shotting everyone.

ok default interact key is "E" so i'll try that... but being that is the tutorial area you would think that would be much clearer.. there isnt even a popup that comes up like the movement/crouch prompts right before that.

I tried just keying it and it did nothing.. will try holding it later.

Heh. Unless you're on a hardcore server, enemies are the ones *without* the blue/green triangles... Also, if you spot them with Q, they'll acquire red triangles (and you'll get points).

I'm old skool dude i got my disc copy from Best Buy at my local midnight release:awe:

Even the cashier confirmed it but like out of like the 30 people standing in line for their copy,only 2 people got a pc version

Something is jacked up with IE and Origin. This happened to me as well and it worked in Beta fine. I installed Chrome browser, made it my default browser and now it works fine using the Chrome browser.

I know what you mean about slow down, though not sure if same issue. I get when i can't click to enter the game, its like the GUI in the game just froze, but the game is continuing in the background. Then about 2min later it just starts working again.

I run into this a lot. I have to use the arrow keys to select a spawn point, and hit enter to spawn. Its like the mouse stops working.

yeah squads still need work, we need to be able to PICK what squad we join

and I also had issues telling where I was going to spawn

i wish it would also select NO spawn when you want to spawn on a squadmate and he dies before you hit deploy, instead of dumping you back to the initial deployment point

You can, but you need to leave the squad first. Then you need to select the squad you want to join, then hit Enter. There doesnt seem to be a join squad button. I find the mouse and keyboard/UI kinda messed up in general. I couldn't bind melee to mouse 3 either. Shooting not quite as smooth compared to the beta.



You know, I think something needs to be done about the engineer rpg reload speed. This probably happened to me like 10 times last, night, but you shoot a tank, duck around a corner while initiating a reload, and the freakin tank driver or passenger has enough time to hop out, run around the corner and shoot you before you can finish reloading. This long reload speed combined with quick repair time is a pain in the butt.

Same, had trouble with IE in the beta. Try Chrome or Firefox
