I don't know about anyone else. But I'm not really a fan of this having to launch Origin to launch BF3 (haven't checked if you can just shortcut it) and then BF3 launching Battlelog. I don't really care about Battlelog, don't know what is wrong with having the game launch and doing everything in there like we have been doing all along so far.
 
When I was playing I had a squad member placed a "beacon" spawn point at a safe location near the MCOMs in the Subway section... I dunno if that is the duty of the Squad leader and if he played Alpha before and knew the map. The reason why I thought it was a spawn point because when my whole squad died that is where we respawned...

Thank god he knew where to place it because otherwise we would've been spawned frag in that hectic section of the map...😱

Agreed. It's very annoying. I am smart enough to launch a game and figure out how to play it. I don't want to start origin, tell origin to start BF3, have origin open up my web browser, and then tell my web browser to play BF3. Very freaking stupid.
 
Well I found the settings file but even at ScreenSafeAreaWidth .01 the hud is not centered on Nvidia Surround. It's a bit better but still bad.
 
It kinda sucks you have to unlock a grip for each gun, rds for each gun, etc. On the AK-74 I have 10 times more kills than the US equivalent (some reason I end up on RU side a lot), but when I switch over to US I got nothing, like I'm just starting out. A unlocked item should work on all the guns in its class.

It shouldn't be too bad once you get the faction independent weapons. Then you can unlock the equipment really fast.
 
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I am not really liking the game. I really hope they give us a Caspian tomorrow like that rumor says, cause I nearly want to cancel my preorder now, sigh. Going to give it more of a chance, but it hasn't pulled me in at all.

I'm with you, honestly. I really wanted to like it, but it's pretty freaking stupid that you need to open this, open that, click this, then click that, open 3 programs, and THEN you get to play the game. Then there's the keybindings (still a monster WTF in my book).

My gameplay is seriously marred by the fact that their default key config is completely foreign to me, so I'm holding out hope that it will be fine once I know what fscking buttons to push.

I'm kinda with you as well. I really hate the first section of Metro with all the bushes, so I'm hoping other maps will be the more enjoyable.
 
Totally agree about opening 3 different programs to run the game, pretty terrible.

My 9800GT does seem to have lots of issues, I crash and hang out of the game frequently (maybe go 3-4 deaths before crash), even at 1280x768 and LOW. I am guessing my weak system is getting bogged (even lost the keyboard controls once)! Is the screen supposed to scale at low res to full monitor, or will I always have black borders? I do have a Wacom tablet and I have heard that sometimes causes issues, just having the driver installed.

Yup i dread the bush's and idk if its just me or if anyone has noticed it but iv'e sprayed so many people at point blank range and 100% heath registering on the killcam.

I know its beta but i don't even get kill assists half the time when this happens so wanna see if anyone else notices this.

I just pulled a 1/9 and not even 400 points on my last round and i called this one guy out on being a camper and everyone was like rage...i rarely pull more deaths then kills,idk if it was a reject cod server but i was like wow...

Noticing ALOT of campers without even vehicles it honestly gives me that crysis 2 type of gameplay and i honestly hated that game .

I'm using that resolution now and no black bars but i'm using a crt,no crash's with my 9800gtx but yeah got keyboard issues too mostly with my left ctrl being crotch
 
I think they gave us Metro first - which probably the lower less intensive map to test the EA Servers... then they will give us Caspian Border Tomorrow, the most intensive BF3 Map, to test server loads again.... low test and high test...😀
 
Not even getting into actual game play stuff, there is a lot of shit with the UI and such that is just infuriating. I can't quit a game after a match and have to either alt tab or wait for a new round to start just to quit, and can't leave when you are dead either. Can't adjust settings before launching into a map, can only adjust settings when spawned. I couldn't find it, but where can I see my ping in game?

Game play wise, I'm still holding back judgement, but for fuck sakes, 70% of the people I come across that aren't lvl 1-5 the first thing they do as soon as you see each other is they go prone almost immediately.

Fuck, I'm so angry with myself cause I've been looking forward to this game for so long and want to love it and instead just feel disappointment.

Agree 100%, but if Dice has taught us anything over the years, it's that they still haven't wrapped their tiny little heads around basic software requirements/patterns. In fact, this is so much worse than anything before, it's almost funny. The fucking hoops you have to jump through just to perform the most basic of tasks... really dice? Are you seriously fucking kidding me you Swedish little knobs?
