Don't read this if you want to be surprised by the beta...

--Alternate soldier names is not in the beta, as far as I can tell.
--Binding stuff to the mouse buttons is not working. Dammnit.
--You still have to join a server to get to the config menus.
--There are three severs showing in the browser hosting Caspian Border 64 player conquest. They are password protected.
--Going prone and crawling forward in the first stage of Operation Metro, I end up glitching under the ground texture quite often. Perhaps the new Catalyst drivers fix this.
--Still don't see a way to quit without spawning back in to the game.
--There doesn't seem to be a console on the beta. I see no key bind for it.

Coworker and I are in the same boat, now at best we get to start downloading after work, so good luck even trying to play tonight even if we do get our keys. :'(
 
sigh. at this rate, it wont be available until late this afternoon/evening when everyone is home and trying to grab it at the same time during the point of day when internet usage in general is highest. great plan.

Time to check out www.LogMeIn.com! My home PC is up and waiting for me to input my Beta Key so I can start the download while I'm here at work.
