Sorry if I am a little sensitive. I have never created a clan before so I am a little insecure about it and I can't tell if people are trolling me or not, especially when people say things like "can i follow your clan on facebook" when the clan doesn't even exist yet. I want to start a simple, fun clan and have a few simple ideas that I think would make it fun.
We could do stuff like have clan tryouts and invite the new guy to an empty server and test his willingness to join by ganging up on him and kicking his ass haha. Or more realistically, have tryouts to see what their specific strengths are so we can learn how to organize our team better.
I'm open to suggestions. I wouldn't want it to be all my idea because that would just suck. I want it to be a group effort for whoever is interested in starting a fun, casual clan. And sure, we could have a facebook page with links to our stats and even show videos of some games etc. Why not?

I need a headcount so I can bring enough cookies for everyone. It'll be store bought though, because I'm not very good at baking, unfortunately

I haven't thought about using slugs with it. Slugs were awesome in BC2, but to me they don't seem as effective in BF3. I'll give it another go the next time I play. Anyways, the SPAS-12 is such a great shotgun.

You may have. I always accept requests, although one person thought I rejected it or unfriended them due to an Origin glitch where the friend request doesn't work properly. I'll check it out and add you if you aren't there. Then I will proceed to hunt you down to avenge your cookie troll.

If using 870 or SPAS-12 with slugs you definitely want to use the laser attachment. It improves hipfire accuracy a bunch and gives you a visible dot for aiming. If you don't use the laser then you really need to ADS and stand still when firing otherwise you get high spread similar to buckshot but with only one projectile. Extended mags is mostly pointless for pump actions anyways.

Doesnt a clan needs its own server?

Ive been in a few and even ran my own CoD4 clan for about 2 years, it gets to be a real pain in the ass. Not trolling ya, just a heads up.

Yeah I hear ya. To do it right I think you would need your own server: a place to call home and host private competitive matches etc. I figured we could just start gathering a group of dedicated people and maybe someday all chip in and pay monthly for a server together. That way we all own it equally and it would be really cheap that way for everyone.

LOL... no worries... let me know when you create the clan and I'll join - I always prefer to play with people with similar styles, can kill alot of people or at least try to progress in the round.

I was on a server that VulgarDisplay got his massive kill stat and there was a 100 star colonel that used the SPAS and dominated everyone - I would see or damage him first but at close range the SPAS wins everytime!

No, it does and always has. It's just that you might not normally notice the difference when using buckshot/flechette, since the spread of projectiles is unchanged, only the the central aiming point is affected. It is noticeable when you are badly suppressed though, have you ever wondered how you managed to miss someone with buckshot at < 5 yards?

I find the best results come from using HiFi, regardless of wether i'm using my surround headset or 5.1 speakers. Home Cinema should work the best, but I find HiFi to sound the best for some reason. Congrats on the sweet headset.

Thanks, I´ll give both a try. I´m guessing I should enable 7.1 in the Corsair CP and windows sound settings right?

I´ve been googling for a while and opinions about this seem to be all over the place. There is even a post from a mod over at Corsair forums stating that everybody should play with the different options and find what works best for them... I´m not exactly pleased with that response to be honest.

Yeah, I have the Vengeance 1500, and the settings are kinda specific to the user and what you might want your game to sound like. Set mine up a while back, but I did a reformat and still haven't changed my settings around again :/ lol

Just had an absolutely hilarious round on Caspian regular conquest. Joined fairly early, my team started roughing the other team up pretty bad. Was getting ready to switch after going about 15-0, and right when I was ready to click 'suicide' and go see if I could balance things out, this crazy moron started cussing me out, calling me a hacker, and all kinds of awesome bad engrish sexual phrases that didn't even make sense. I proceeded to go 52-0 on their asses All ground-pounding mind you.

Oh, and for all the whining I've seen on the BF3 forums about the Helis being nerfed a bit, I played a few rounds with Big_Bird27, and MY GOD was he a freaking beast with the Heli. He went 115-13 the first round I saw him, and he was cool enough to join the supremely terrible team (mine) for the next one, where even with total scrubs for teammates (besides me hopefully, lol), he went 58-8. This is WITH two decent jet pilots and a pretty skilled enemy heli AND the enemy MAA AND a few Stinger guys AND a couple of Jav Guys w/Recon support all trying like hell to kill him. Most of his deaths came from both jets coming in for strafe+ram simulataneously.

Hey all!

On Thursday the 20th of September, starting at 08:00 UTC, the RSP companies will update all game servers. It usually takes about a day until the majority of game servers are updated.

The new game server version is a bugfix release; it does not add any new features.

Changelist
• Fixed a bug where a new squad leader wasn’t chosen when the current squad leader left.
• MK1A3 fix to add flechette rounds instead of frag rounds in gun master mode for premium players(Non-premium already have flechette rounds).
• Fixed a bug with Squad Rush on Sharqi Peninsula where the user was spawned out of combat if they spawned in shortly after the first MCOM exploded.
• Stationary and mobile AA cannon damage has been reduced by 30% versus the Gunship.
• Jet cannon damage has been reduced by 50% versus the Gunship.
• The delay before moving the Gunship forward to a new base in rush has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
• The Delay between Gunship spawns has been increased from 90 to 120 seconds in rush.
• Initial delay before the Gunship spawns in rush has been increased from 15 to 60 seconds.

Add me, join me when you see me on, say hi in-game (I also tab out to windows when I hear chat beeps), I'll work with you. Trust me, I work with teammates whenever I get someone that communicates, which is rare. And I don't care if you're the noobiest noob or the elite of the elite.

I frequently join a pub server, maybe has 25-50 players total, and I'll say to my team :

"Do we need an AA out there?"

"Anyone need a Soflam up?"

"Do we have a Soflam, need more Javs?"

"etc"

And ZERO response, almost every time. The most common thing I see in the in-game chat field is typical bullshit from each side "You're a hacker! Impossible!", "You suck", etc. People are largely assholes imho.

Same here, I do the same thing - sacrifice myself for the advancement of the team or squad... I'm more like a dangerous Cannon Fodder, I'll sacrifice or take hits for the team or squad, but I can also deal some serious damage back...

In large maps you'll see me crashing my Jet into a tank (if I fail to take it out with my rockets) that may be pinning my team mates down...or drawing fire away from my team mates so they can kill the shooters to move forward in a heavy fire fight...
