Don't know about you guys but seat switchin in the heli and using the TV missile is pretty damn frustrating. It seems the damn thing registers a hit only SOME of the time. Most of the time I hit my target over and over and over and NOTHING. Then some games I'm 18-3, I guess it's dices way of saying get a damn pilot. Too bad almost every pilot I meet is a mouth breathing retard that doesn't understand the potential of the damn tv missile always getting us killed so he can take some pot shots at the mobile AA.

to me it seems like the vehicle netcode is too bad to use the TV missile, with how the vehicles can kinda jump on the servers, seems to really affect the TV missile and guiding it

also why are you seat switching, the guided rockets are too good
you can kill all the enemy vehicles without even leaving your base with them

How do you guys like the AEK? I find myself wanting to stick with the M416 more often for some reason. Its lower damage but the accuracy is just way too good.

I like it better than the M416. It is definately harder to hit at long range with the iron sites. The crosshairs sight doesn't help much but the holo sight is excellent

I really liked the F2000 from the beta but I see that has been moved back farther on the unlock list

Anyone experience this issue where your playing and then all of a sudden things get really choppy and slow for like 30 secs before coming back to normal? Not lag but more like comp is trying to do some other task as well. Thing is when I alt-tab out I can't find anything else running that would need major cpu cycles, and I have 12gb of ram so not running out.

Yeah - I have noticed that as well.

I could be wrong but I think the Explosive perk you choose as infantry adds its bonus to vehicles as well (Either that or my aim was REALLY good in a particular round)

Also - there does not seem to be a limit to the number of mines you can place. I had a Support squad member following my engineer around on Karg Island and the thing was BLANKETED with mines. Everyone on my team was joking that you couldn't see the friednly infantry markers over all the mine markers. Oh so many disabled vehicles :twisted:

Friend request me, I can fly, have everything unlocked from flying, not gunning. SLUAequitas (no space). Always like to have competent gunners

What's the best way to practice the jets? Is there a way to do it in SP mode? I've been watching the tutorials but feel like a tool practicing during an actual battle because I still suck baaaaad.

So i finally played Rush. That is damn fun times. The DAO-12 with flashlight is so OP on the alley map. hehe

At least you're watching tutorials. I say fuck it, and just jump in a jet during an actual game. Gotta learn sometime. If someone bitches, ignore them.

It seems like hitboxes of moving targets are absolutely horrid when using the TV missile. I've tried shooting the missile through the cockpit, above, below, to the left and to the right, but for the life of me, I can't hit a moving chopper. I never had these problems taking out targets in BF2.

Grumble. Saw that Origin had a "Repair Install" option and since my game was a little crash-y last night I thought maybe there was a patch put out.

Then it tells me I need to install the game.

Then it tells me I need to install the game.

Then it tells me... yeah.

So I deleted the game and have to re-dl and install again.

I have had zero complaints about the game thus far, but just making it work from their UI should not be such an issue.

Yeah, I feel it too. There is a bug that was talked about in the battlelog forums, and maybe here too, which will be addressed in the next patch.

it's a code thing, not a setting. When it hit the cap for movement it interpolated time of movement instead of distance.

I saw someone post something relevant here, Try it out and tell me if it fixed it for you?

I also noticed strange mouse sensitivity what I did was:

1. go here: C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Battlefield 3\settings
2. Open PROF_SAVE_profile with notepad++ (can download for free)
3. Change the following variables:

GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.050000 ;1st one is the normal mouse sens. USE whatever you like, or keep it the way it is.

These three however I edited and it solved many problems for me.

Always make a Back up or remember the original values folks!

Can anyone tell me how to use your active the tank unlocks? For example I have IR smoke and coaxial gun. Do my unlocks follow me everywhere I go? What if I get into a tank that someone else is driving. Does the tank automatically get upgraded? since I've earned it?

I think only the driver can use the smoke and the secondary weapon (coax or guided shell).

Proximity (and maybe thermal optics?) seems to follow you, so I think the seatmate *doesn't* get it, but you always do.

Any tank you get into is going to have whatever unlocks you have selected. As far as someone else driving, no you are bound to whatever the tank has chosen by the person driving, though, I can't say with any real certainty that proximity sensors do follow you if you are the passenger, I don't know if it is just a coincident or not but every tank I get into as a passenger has proximity sensors and I use that as part of my load out, though it is a earlier unlock and very helpful so it is hard to say on this.

Battlelog - We are updating our servers

Hello everyone!

It´s sunday night over here at the office. It´s cold and dark outside but inside one of the nicest buildings located in the heart of Stockholm, sits a team that is working on updates. We at DICE are rolling out a new server update and of course, we are posting the change log to you.

For users, this means that you don´t need to update your client since this is a server side update.

- Fix for crashes usually occurring during level switches. Server providers may see a little bit of memory leakage instead in this situation

- Game servers should no longer quit in some situations where the online backend servers are down. Server will reconnect to the backend once it's up again

- Fix for ghost servers which didn't accept connections

- Kick reasons should better match situations where they are issued. This will help battlelog provide more accurate information to the player

- Connection fixes to avoid players sometimes being rejected while joining the game server on one of the last slots

- Security updates

- Improved server logging

Can't tell for sure if it is still the limited edition.

Wow, I finally got the Scar-H for engineer and that gun is definitely slightly overpowered. Very easy to kill with at short to medium range.

Yeah I've been using the G36 for a while but I may go back to the SCAR. The G36 is just useless at long range and the SCAR I think is more dependable in semi-auto at close range than full-auto G36.

I don't know wtf is going on, but the game seems to forget what unlocks I have selected for my vehicles every couple of games. Frustrating as hell when I jump in a tank and I go to switch to thermal and get nothing, then hit x and yup, worthless smoke!
