Okay, I just got a IC7 with a P4 3.0ghz but I've decided I want to return the IC7 because the sound is horrible and the NB fan is driving me insane. That means I've got to find another good mobo. I don't want to read through 16 pages of this thread so I'll just ask these few questions.
How big are the problems with this bored compared to other boards like it? Is the onboard fan quiet? And does the sound work properly!?

does that come with later versions of the bios, im still using the bios (i think it's 1005) that the motherboard came with (just bought it recently)

Now, AT-Motherboards, who has saved or scanned a copy of the original page stating prescott support and would be willing to send it (zip file of all - with pics) to me ? I'd be willing to host it. UPDATE: Found a copy on one of my home machines: My hosting of the P4P800-Deluxe specs page - cache from 7-13-2003

I just hope Prescott will not be lunched on a 478 socket, for me that would be the only justified reason for this change.

I'm running the latest version of ASUS PC Probe to look at my CPU and MOBO temperatures. What is considered a safe temperature range for both the CPU and MOBO?
Thanks,

Whenever you change your memory timings, it's always a good idea to run a memory test program to make sure your new timings will work for you. From what I've read, memtest86 is one of the better testers. Very easy to use.
Try setting your dram burst length to 4, then make sure you're still stable. If you are, leave it there. If not, set it back to 8.
