gotta jump in here guys,

Just got my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo.

Here are my thought thus far:

I had no doubts in my mind when it comes to Asus and they did not let me down this time either!

This mobo was the easiest installation I have ever experienced!

Popped the board in, easy as pie, hooked it up, started right up first time, detected all sata drives, installed windows, no problem.

Installed 66.93 nvidia drivers, sli mode was recognized immediately, i set it and have been rockin and rollin ever since!

Installed my nvidia network was a snap!

Did some quick benches in 3dmark03....14146 marks! NO OC!!! I just can't believe this! I toiled and labored w/ an msi neo 2 to get 11,300 marks!

ASUS is simply amazing and this has to be the fastes most stable board I have EVER experienced!!!

WOOOT!!!!

Ok if its that good I'll hang in there. I'm in the UK though so I stand little chance of getting it any time soon. I pre-ordered it so long ago as well. I think UK will be the last place to get this mobo. Sometime mind January I think.

What would be a good choice for memory for this board? I read the recomendations on the ASUS site, but I dont know much about memory and dont want to make a bad choice. I would like 1G (2X512)

Thanks,

Scott

Thanks for the respones guys. 3.0V is a little low, anyone tried a OCZ DDR Booster with it yet? If so, any comments on your results?

Thanks,

DanW

3 volts is the best 939 vdimm available right now I'm pretty sure. Gigabyte boards are supposed to have 3.1, but are not available yet.

My shiny new A8N rig just took a serious dive.

If any of you are good at troubleshooting, take a look? It was running fine and then suddenly everything suddenly went to shit. PSU? Motherboard? I've no idea. All I know is that the 2 optical drives from my old rig that I used in it may be dead and it since then it wont power up at all.

Details here

I contacted Asus and replied to his statement as follows:

this is a reply to seth 13699 (first time poster). I just contacted Asus America tech support @ 1-502-995-0883 and they have not received any of the information that you reported.

I only got it yesterday and intalled it, so I was concerned and contacted asus. I've had it running for a day now, and I have been running rock stable with excellent benches in 3dmark03 and 05!

As a matter of fact, they took this very seriously and wanted the name of the forum that this was posted in and the thread!
