Is it that hard to understand.

As simple as it sounds...it proves to be just too difficult for most in this thread.

than beating down the people who don't agree with you.

yup!

flavio, those anti-war protesters are just giving that car a carwash, right?

Are they beating someone down that doesn't agree with them? I'd say hurting a car is pretty innocent stuff compared to the violent acts people in this thread have suggested.

Besides...

Although the protesters were largely well-behaved, splinter groups shattered windows, heaved rocks and bottles at police and left graffiti in their wake.

Funny how anti-violence protests do nothing but jar up and stir emotions resulting in some pissed off people.

Hence accomplishing the exact opposite of what a protest is supposed to do. Just proving even further that most of these people are nothing buy wanna-be hippie teens who think it's cool to protest, so they do.

Don't forget! They're also getting out of class! what a bunch of farking tools.

Why do these "peace" protesters always say it is "splinter groups" who cause all the violance.

It happens at ALL peace protests. So it is the peace protesters cuasing all the violance and destruction.

Where were all these protestors when Saddam was gasing innocent woman and children. Most of them are just protestin for kicks and have no clue of the history that this dictator has. They tried to get the rally goin in NYC's Time Square yesterday, but it rained and quickly fell apart. I guess war isn't bad enough to get wet over

No, it's not that hard to understand, but they're infringing on other peoples rights in the process.

It's no problem protesting the war IF they offered decent alternative solutions to disarming Saddam. Trouble is, from the pics posted in this thread lately, it seems most are just teenagers/college kids who are probably just thrilled to be out of class.

Actually, Chicago and NY had comparable if not larger pro-peace demonstrations yesterday. I don't think Chicago reported arrests and NYC reported 30+ separate groups of demonstrators . . . with very little if any violence associated with the protestors. From your tone, I doubt you have EVER been part of a Pro-Peace rally so your distorted view is likely a product of your ignorance.

When Saddam was gassing Iranian troops many protestors were telling the US government to stop providing Saddam aid. When our buddy Turkey was gassing the Kurds many protestors were telling the US government to sever ties with Ankara. When Saddam was gassing Kurds and violently putting down revolt after the 1st Gulf War many protestors begged the US government to do something. GHWB eventually provided humanitarian relief and halted Saddam's assault on the Kurds.

yup. their arguements are silly. people are dying because of war? well saddam kills many without war:p maybe they should just admit they would rather allow cruelty to exist in order to avoid war.

not to mention they love bringing up cases where cruelty was ignored. as if previous mistakes justify current inaction.

Hundreds arrested in Chicago rally

Anti-war protesters swiftly answered the onset of war with a national campaign of civil disobedience, including a seemingly spontaneous march by an estimated 10,000 people that shut down Lake Shore Drive Thursday night, leading to arrests by the busload.

Thousands were arrested nationwide. In San Francisco, roving bands closed several exits on the Bay Bridge to Oakland. In Washington, demonstrators shut down the Key Bridge. In New York, protesters shut down a two block stretch of Broadway.

Oh so peaceful
