Casey in the bottom TWO? Aaron wasn't even in the bottom 3??????

retarded.

I'm not surprised Siobahn was booted, but I'd still rather watch her performances over Aaron or Michael. Shame, all she had to do was keep singing "big" --not scream--and her control would be much improved. It's when she sings soft, or at "normal" tones that her nasally sounds takes over. All she needed was to maintain more power behind her singing and it would have all sounded great. probably not that easy, but oh well...

this just makes no sense...what kind of 12-15 year old girl would ever vote for Aaron over Casey? is it the 6-8 year-old girls that somehow have phone access and keep voting for that little kid? I didn't know there was such a young audience that had so much influence.

Aaron better be gone next week. I was gonna punch out the tv if Casey went. Siobhan was who I picked to go.. would rather it was Aaron, but.... we know what's going on there.

After Casey's craptacular performance last night, he should have been in the bottom two, but I'm glad that Aaron is finally gone 🙂

well, still 2 hours away for me...glad I'm not disappointed 🙂

I didn't think Casey was that bad. Honestly, he was waaaaaay better than Aaron, and I thought he was better than Mike.

wtf is with the judges lately? Crystal was FLAWLESS--one of my top 2 or 3 performances of hers. Everything about it was outright classy. And you can just tell from HCJr's comments about who had it and who didn't. You could tell from his expressions after the live performance if someone was weak. Crystal destroyed everyone last night. Judges are just...wtf.


But I loved seeing Harry Connick Jr. Dude is incredibly awesome. He even did the arrangements! craziness. His insight and advice for each contestant was probably some of the best, and most useful that any guest has given.

Loved Harry's story tonight about a meeting he actually had with Sinatra. You haven't seen it yet, so I won't go into details.

As you know, Aaron is gone, and good riddance. Right now, judging by the reception from the live studio audience, it seems Lee Dewyze is the favorite.
 
that story was ridiculous, and awesome. I'm just reading your post, and it's actually what I remember most about the show. GF and I got a kick out of it. Harry is pretty much all that remains of the Dean Martin, Sinatra & Ratpack, Louis Armstrong-type variety artists. (yes, Louis would ham it up on stage, too--I realize he's the odd dog in this crowd, you know).

He's on stage, he's telling jokes, he's going nuts with music: freaking entertainment.



Anyhoo, I also re-watched the performances and....I believe I was wee bit hasty in judging Crystal. It was good, but not what I remembered, heh. I have a soft spot for this genre of music, honestly, so it's hard to think clearly on a first viewing.

Plus, in my fair defense, I was a little, :whiste: last night.

they always have to have "themes" when some of the contestants are not suited to sing the choices within the "themes". tonight though, song from movies, shouldn't have been too much of a problem.

they should've had a "pick any song you want to sing" night long before this.
 
Casey is just your average hick bar band guy. The only thing keeping him alive is his looks. He would not have made the top 10 if he was a notch less purty.
 
Individually Krystal easily was the best last night.

Her and Lee's duet was great. Probably the best single performance all season including guest and everything else.

Lee didn't do to great on his own but that duet was redemption for you.

A part of me thinks that the contestants actually don't get to pick the full list of songs from the theme of the week... possibly because of $$$.

they should've had a "pick any song you want to sing" night long before this.

The contestants had a Billboard Number 1's week and the song selection was terrible during that week as well.

Me and Bobby McGee was anything BUT terrible, of course. Fantastic song, amazing performance. It's rare that Idol contestants pick such a classically good song in any week of any season. 😉


Crystal was awesome last night. that caddyshack song has new life. Lyrically, it's perfect for her style. wow.

I thought their duet would have been better if she sang up another octave, but it was still quite good. Even Michael & Casey were rather phenomenal on their duet. Casey picked the wrong song for this week, lol. I think his performance from McCartney/Lennon week is long out of people's memory.
 
Up next week, Casey.

Threw me off for a second when they said Lee was going to get to go home but everyone was so happy 😛
 
I been down loading the studio songs for my girl friend an said that they need to just get right to Krystle and Lee. Krystle's down loads have been a cut above the rest and Lee's your the one was the best recorded song so far. This season dragged on way to long when you know that those 2 are above everyone else. Oh Aaron sucked his studio songs were pretty bad.
 
I'm Alright was awesome, just watching it now and had to rewind it. I still think Crystal isn't an "American Idol" type, but she's definitely the best. Lee Dewyze should be stuck in college bars swooning the ladies with his stupid heart throbby drunk-chicks-who-don't-know-anything-about-music song selections.

Stupid American Idol has half the roads closed in my town because some tool is having a concert at the horse track. Arg.
