Lena Olin refused to come back to the show; therefore, her death by Jack Bristow.
And RaDragon - didn't last night's episode actually show the documents in the safe box at the end of Season 3 contain papers not showing Sydney's training, but of her mom being killed? She already had flashbacks and knew she was put into that secret school and trained as a child. (The flashbacks, the episode where she did those building blocks like the kids did, etc)
Yup, but somehow, I thought it'd be about something else... I do remember the flashbacks scene, though, and how Jack Bristow had his own "Project Christmas" via training his daughter.

EDIT>>> RADragon's write-up of the 3 seasons is pretty accurate (not to mention descriptive)... didn't read it till now. Oh and didn't see that comment about Lena Olin being greedy till now... I guess the rumors were true ? RB: what does "refused to come back" really mean? Anyway, good job RD.
Thanks. I thought people might not like some of my character descriptions.

Did anyone notice that what they revealed in the safe deposit box was NOT what was posted after that episode ended? It's supposed to say that Jack "planned" her life since her conception. That is, it is not accident that she joined the secret program at 12 and went on to become a spy. She was born for it.
BTW, ABC pulled the "document" from the website soon after they posted it.
This is what I'm talking about! I thought I was dreaming when I "learned" about this. Somehow, though, they changed the plot (or document info) to reflect Jack Bristow's actions -- e.g., killing Sydney's mother.
RE: Dead Mom
Is Sydney's mom really dead? Do people really die in Alias?
I don't think Jack Bristow can put himself to killing his ex-wife, then again, I know they don't want to complicate the story anymore, but I don't think that the so-called "bringer of destruction" (according to Rambaldi) will just die like that in the hands of Jack... There's something else to it, darnnit!
