ABC came out w/next seasons line up. but it didnt mention alias as being renewed. but neither did they say it's being axed.

is Alias being renewed for next season?!

Both died in season 3. No leaks, but early in season 4 Vaughn showed to Sark the corpse of Lauren after Sark helped them retrieve a bomb.

It's too bad most of season 4 hasn't been up to the usual standard - I blame the blandness of Nadia's character and the unnecessary return of Anna Espinosa. However, a lot of the other problems I had with the season were rectified with last night's 2 hour show. Much of the plotlines that didn't make sense and didn't seem to go anywhere were wrapped up very nicely last night. There were a LOT of great moments, and the final 3 minutes just made me and my wife giddy. I can't wait 'til next week to see how the gang destroys the giant dodgeball... 🙂

yeah, i know.. season 4 is grasping at straws... come on... a 3rd sister?!

sloan clone? heck, i bet future episodes will have more sloan clones since all you need to do is copy/paste his persona into a person via some machine. wait.. the CIA has this tech too. How long b4 we see Sydney clones? (thus if Jennifer Garnder quits, this would be the new 'Alias' plot.)

Helix plot line again (mom lookalike)? Thought it was only used twice? and both of them are dead. (and the machine/inventor/notes about the Helix program have all been destroyed???)

And nadia IS a rimbaldi artifact? a walking, living artifact? Ripped straight from '5th element.' Or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And it sucked in those shows too.

Well, Lena Olin (Irina Derevko) absolutely refused to come back to the show after the 2nd season, so they had to figure out a way to get rid of her characer once and for all. The MSN Messenger chats in the 3rd season were just stupid, for example. Hence, Jack kills her off-screen and mentions it in the beginning of the 4th season. However, after the mention of her character's death took place, Lena Olin decides that she wants to return to the show. The writers had to figure out how to make her reappear, hence the Helix idea, which seemed to work just fine with Evil Francie in season 2.

Yeah, it's ridiculous, but this idea wasn't started in this season - rather, Nadia was introduced last season and exhibited signs of being an artifact, or maybe a victim of Rambaldi prophecy back then. I rolled my eyes more last season when she was transcribing the manuscript while under the influence.

I guess you just gotta go with the Rambaldi stuff. It's something that should have never been introduced into the series back in season one, but since the writers have dug themselves a hole, they might as well make the most of it. After last night's episode, I realized that they've done as good as a job with Rambaldi this season as any other. It's kind of fun to see what the dodgeball devices actually do.

They're moving Alias to Thursdays next season. Bleh. Don't the idiots at the network know that moving shows a LOT can hurt it?

Anyway, Lena Olin isn't back for good, I'm sure, and I have a feeling that Nadia (Syd's half sister) is going to die at the season finale... and that will really turn Sloane (e.g., no more change-o-heart for him.)

Are we really sure that this Irina Derevko is not the cloned Irina? 😀

I disagree RaDragon, Thursday night PT TV sucks and I welcome the change IMO, h*ll they moved 24 from Tuesday to Monday and it has held it's own 🙂

I had an inkling they were going to get into some kinda accident when they were driving around all happy with each other... but I didn't expect it to happen THAT way...

my best guess based on the ending i saw was, Vaughn is a Russian spy.

i thought vaughan wasnt coming back next season because in real life he dated jennifer garner and split up badly? and jen wanted him out of the show?
 
ah man they can't take out vaughn ... he was there from the beginning ...
and what about nadia and the prophecy ... one of them will not live ... and they are together right now ...

and is sloan really back to evil or is he just trying to be really convincing and end up saving sid's life or something ...

what if jack was the one who wanted the rambaldi device to be built and is secretly waiting ...

i missed the episode after jack gets really sick and sid finds his doctor... wha happened?

i predict sloan has a bigger endgame, thus thats why he helped

vaughan may have been there since the beginning, but in real life jen doesnt get along w/him since the break up. i predict vaughan = gone

Putting it up against the most watched show on TV CSI is an easy way for them to say the ratings aren't there. I predict 5 will be the last season.
 
my wife and i were watching it last night and at the end, she kept on saying "oh no! what happened to sydney?" with a sad look on her face. Before that, during the commercial, I was telling her how the previous season ended with Sydney always being in some kind of coma so I just started chuckling at the ending.

season 5 won't start shooting probably until sept. i'll try to get some kind of plot line off the set decorators when they start filming again
