I mean the ones without the traces visible.
I just got one of these with the brown packaging and it seems to run cooler, the multiplier went to 12.5 on stock voltage, but the FSB didn't really want to move at all, 180 was the highest it would go on stock voltage.
The green packaged one I have is running at 200FSB/11 multiplier and stock voltage with retail HSF.
The color isn't what I'm talking about... although the new packaging seems to be only in green, no browns. Here... look at the differences... this is what I'm talking about...
Look at the two different Galleries... the week 30 has the traces visible, the week 24 doesn't.
Hmmm I have this chip http://www.neffing.com/pics/displayimage.php?album=60&pos=0 from your gallery, but mine has brown packaging with visible traces. I'm not sure how to tell which week it is from (got it from newegg on Tuesday). The black tag says: AXDA2500DKV4D Y881757260219 then: AQXEA 0334SPMW
That's a week 34, and if rumor holds true, it's a downgraded XP2600but an XP2600 Barton? Maybe that rumor is only true for Thoroughbred CPU's? Anyway... the brown packaging with those visible traces is new to me... got any pictures? I'd like to see them.![]()

Tried going higher but my RAM is pretty much shot when it comes to overclocking, OCZ Platinum PC3200 (Does 2-2-2-11 @ Default)...I've tried raising the Vcore but really don't get anything higher, system will boot into Windows @ 12x200 @1.85V, but then crashes when I run Prime.

Does your week 27 have the new packaging?
With stock HSF, you should be able to reach 11x200. I've seen many successful cases. Try bumping up the voltage to 1.7 or even 1.75 V. I took my Vdimm to 2.8 with no problems.DO i ony chnage the corevoltage and to what valuse, or do i alsp chanfe the ddr sdram voltage, etc. Pls advise. THe cpu ran at 50C when overclocked and under heavy load. Let me know

I don't understand why you went back to 2500+ speeds after you reached 3200+ speeds. Try clearing CMOS and restarting the process, and take it slowly.

Yeah I managed to successfully overclock it and making it stable by increasing the voltage to 1.75; however, I reverted back to the original settings because the temp went up to 56C max after I played Quake3 for a while. I don't know if reaching such a temperature is OK for my system but I didn't want to take any risks. If its fine then i'll switch back to it since I didn't encounter any problems, just the temp scared me a bit.
Thanks for the response.

imo, 56C load is fine.

I got the 2500+ from Monarch today. It's running at 2400MHz (220 x 11) with 1.9V. Prime95's been going for about an hour so far. I am very happy with this chip.
2500MHz wouldn't go with up to 1.9V and I don't want any more voltage than that.
So, for $84. shipped and no sales tax, this worked out very well.
AQXEA 0331 TPMW "9"
Air cooled with slk-800, panaflo H1A and 4.5" duct through side panel.

What kind of temps are you getting at that voltage?

I don't know. I don't have any hardware monitoring software installed right now. I've noticed that Prime95 will give errors or lock up if the chip is too hot.
My 2100+ @2400MHz, 1.9V ran at 45C under load. Before I put the duct in my temps were 8C higher. I don't trust software temp readings unless they are off the diode and my Abit MB doesn't support that, so...
