Soulkeeper, if you get another one, maybe check the FS forums and get a pre week 24 one... to ensure you get the old packaging.

you mean the non-green ones ?

11x200 @ 1.7v.

Tried 6 others for friends and they all do at least 11x200. Some at default, others take 1.7.

did you try any of them higher ??
what's the highest you've been able to get a 2500+ ?

Mine will do 11.5x200, but I back it down. Lost a hard drive recently with xtreme oc'ing, so I skeered. 😀

Of the others, the highest is doing 12x200 with an slk900a. It seems ok at 12x210, but he gets skittish too. Anyway, can't really tell any speed diff.

11x200 1.75v

I figure thats enough, its so old it is on a ceramic package so I dont expect more.

I did get a 200 mhz jump when I went from 7njs to nf7-s2.0, I think because of voltage regulation.

I just got one of these with the brown packaging and it seems to run cooler, the multiplier went to 12.5 on stock voltage, but the FSB didn't really want to move at all, 180 was the highest it would go on stock voltage.

The green packaged one I have is running at 200FSB/11 multiplier and stock voltage with retail HSF.

200x11 @ stock voltage.
If I up it to 1.75 I can get 200x11.5, haven't tried beyond that. I keep it at 2200 though, good enough for me (cause I never use it)!

2500+ AQXEA 0330UPMW
ABIT NF7-S v2.0
512MB PC2700 Kingston ValueRAM @450MHz 2-3-3-6 (Winbond BH-6)
SK6+ 60mm fan
NorthPole NB Cooler

Rock Solid @ 225x10 / 1.7V 😉

I'm the friend davidlem mentioned up top 🙂

I'm running my machine currently at 200x11 at stock voltages with not one problem.

I can also run at 203 x 11.5 perfectly stable with just a minor increase in voltage, .5 above default.

I haven't really tried much higher, I tried 200 x 12 once, but forgot to up the voltage and just crashed, I'll have to try again sometime 🙂

The color isn't what I'm talking about... although the new packaging seems to be only in green, no browns. Here... look at the differences... this is what I'm talking about...

Look at the two different Galleries... the week 30 has the traces visible, the week 24 doesn't.

I got my 2500+ to do 2.2ghz by just moving the FSB to 200mhz on my DFI NFII mobo.

Is this the best method to overclock this chip?

Hmmm I have this chip http://www.neffing.com/pics/displayimage.php?album=60&pos=0 from your gallery, but mine has brown packaging with visible traces. I'm not sure how to tell which week it is from (got it from newegg on Tuesday). The black tag says: AXDA2500DKV4D Y881757260219 then: AQXEA 0334SPMW

what vcore are you running at ?

yeah seti is one of the main reasons I got the 2500+ over the 1700+

11.5x190=2185 , no change in voltage, 37C surfing the net 41C after gaming. AX-7 lapped , with a vantec slealth.
Abit NV7-s rev 2. Cosair pc3200 512x2. I am thinking about setting the bus to 200 and droping the multi.

Vcore is at 1.8, I'm still messing around with my final overclock
Now I'm at 11x217, couple hours into Prime95 fully stable 🙂
I'm getting pretty decent temps too, CPU is at 48C

That's a week 34, and if rumor holds true, it's a downgraded XP2600
rolleye.gif
but an XP2600 Barton? Maybe that rumor is only true for Thoroughbred CPU's? Anyway... the brown packaging with those visible traces is new to me... got any pictures? I'd like to see them.

Oh, and BTW... my processor at 2.2 Ghz does a SETI WU in less than 2 hours as well if I'm not using the computer for anything else. I believe the lowest I've seen it finish is 1:52.
