Looks to be a yo-yo day. Up $3K+ this morning and I bet I will bounce between positive and negative gains all day.

I think it's somewhat laughable that there's this hero worship of Bezos and Buffet and somehow they're just a particular brand of genius that can fix Healthcare. As if no one with brains has been trying. I would be thrilled to eat my words, thrilled, but I don't see it happening. This is just Healthcare outsiders thinking "Amazon is awesome! Amazon Healthcare? Awesomer!"

I just think the lack of competition is part of the problem, and to keep up with the miles and miles and stacks and stacks of red tape and paperwork for healthcare regulations you have to come in with tons of cash on hand.... If anyone knows how to cut the red tape, it's other successful business-men (In this case, Amazon and JPMorgan's CEOs)

Nice to see Walmart suffering with their latest profit statement. I honestly don't think they stand a chance from an eCommerce perspective.

Their work culture is "fuck the customers because you don't have a choice in where you go, so we will only staff 1 person for check-outs even when there is a line of 25 people".... that doesn't translate well for eCommerce and competing with Amazon.

I talk to cashiers and stockers, ask them how their days are going. Walmart has a morale problem as their employees just don't give a crap anymore. Turns out that if you treat your workers like crap, you get crap productivity in return. Who knew?

How do you improve morale for working retail? The job literally requires no skills that any other human can do.

So at what point does buying Walmart stock make sense? Bill Gates has 11,603,000 shares and has lost $113,825,460 on WMT today. $69.33 is the 52 week low while $109.98 is the 52 week high. It is currently trading at $94.82 and dropping like a brick.

The skill set required has nothing to do with maintaining morale. Treat your employees with respect. Offer some semblance of a predictable work schedule. Walmart puts the demand risk (fluctuating need for workers based on customer levels) on their workers. Walmart's workers pay for this through unpredictable schedules and commuting costs. Drive to work, work an hour, and then get sent home because Walmart didn't need you that day and you spent half your wages getting to/from work.

There's like a walmart on every block. There is no reason to drive an hour to work at one.

and dow broke the 25k support line and falling.

PLEASE let this be the start of the correction to justify my gamble in switching stocks to long term corp bonds.
Also please let corp bonds go up!

When rates go up, bonds go down.

Yesterday was a crazy ride. At the high of the day, I was up $13K+, then the bond yields report came out and I finished down $4K. A $17K+ roller coaster.

What is for today? More of the same?

And.... gone.

There was some downward resistance at 92 but it's not holding. Maybe I'll buy back in if it continues to drop.

I did something similar. I already own 522.9518 shares of NVDA with my cost basis of $8.893. I bought 500 more shares at $226.06 and will sell when it is over $246 a share. Then I'll wait for it to drop again and I'll go through the same cycle again. I've been playing the NVDA game over the last few months and it has worked out very well.

I wish I had bought in to NVDA when it dropped below 140 last year. My biggest regret for the past few years.
