Thought it was only on 4th down you couldn't advance the ball. I actually missed that play and the review though.

I'm not sure TBO. Pats fans are hoping that Dominique Easlie's injury is minor, they held him out for most of last year to let his ACL issues heal and were counting on him this year for pass pressure in Wilforks absence. Even though they won on Brady's right arm giving up 450yds of offense has to be a concern. Not setting the edge and stopping the run was almost shockingly bad at times, expect teams going forward to exploit this issue.

Almost a weird game. Felt like the Pats were in control and played better than the final stats showed. With the way the game went it almost felt like the Pats should have won by 14 even with the last second TD. They have to work on D though for sure.

Steelers have a good offense and when they get Bell back they'll be scary good since he can catch too. Williams looked really good though. Way better than I ever remember him looking in Carolina.

Eagles O-line is decent, but has zero depth. Jason Peters is still good but aging and that's a scary thing. The guards are unknowns. Lane Johnson is very good. Jason Kelcey is good and extremely athletic, but a bit undersized. It's not just the QB, but the O-line is potentially one injury away from being a total mess. People up here are praying for the Pope to bless the Eagles O-line and also Bradford's knees.

Lol, yeah. And we won't know how well or even if the secondary has been sorted out until the shooting starts.

But I saw one poster in Deeko's thread pick them to win 5 games this year. Sanchez is a huge drop off from Bradford, but even if Bradford goes down at some point, I still expect them to win 8-9 games.

Don't the Pats generally bend, but not break?

shittsburgh for the most part ran at will against them and did a decent job passing down the field. too many penalties killed there drive along with not being able to score points at the end of them.

Playing on the road against the Patriots in the opening game would be a major uphill climb for any team. Look at the Packers last year, they got blasted by the Seahawks in the first game yet ended up being one of the best teams in the league.

That said I don't think the Steelers will end up being a *great* team this year but 10 wins is nothing crazy for them. Once they get Bell and Bryant back that offense will be clicking.

How many points are you giving me and how much are you willing to bet? Nothing piddly, make it count. Pm me with your amount.

That was just random guessing. I'm not willing to back it up with a bet. Especially now that I look at it again, and I'm thinking I confused the Falcons with the Cardinals. 😳

Bwahahhahaha

“I thought that there was a rule against that,” Roethlisberger told reporters. “Maybe there’s not. Maybe it’s just an unwritten rule. … We saw it on film, that the Patriots do that. They shift and slide and do stuff on the goal line, knowing that it’s an itchy trigger finger-type down there.”

So, let me get this right. They saw it on film, and somehow believed it was still illegal? Lol.

i still can't beleive they did it TWICE. how the fuck do you leave gronk uncovered or let him get that wide open?

The same way the Eagles left Dez uncovered last season. A blind man could have seen that coming from a mile away.

Heh, I took Atlanta in the ATOT survival league. I always forget to submit my pick after the first couple of weeks, so I figured I'd just take risks right from the start.

There'll be a lot of points scored. I just think dem Iggles will score more.

It will be, ummmm, interesting to see how Philly's secondary holds up -- looks to be a real trial by fire. But Sam Bradford and all those weapons in Chip's scheme? Yee-haw!

Chip has such huge cojones, down to stonewalling Evan Mathis and shipping Brandon Boykin out for pocket lint. Go big or go home. We all know there's no depth on o-line or in the secondary, and that the drop off from Bradford to Sanchez is big enough to hurt.

But, hey, Chip won 10 games last year with Foles and Sanchez @ QB, and with a horrendous secondary (though I think at least part of that was due to scheme).

To sum it up, "In Chip we trust." Sports science and bold moves, baby! Fact is, as Eagles fans we have no choice.
