Interesting in that Indy had 49 passes to 17 rush plays, that does not bode well and Luck did not have a very good game so the Buffalo D is for real IMO.

I can't wait to hear Pagano's excuses.

Losing is one thing, but getting blown out like that? Completely unacceptable. The Bills just aren't that good outside of their defense.

Yea, Indy was a favorite to be one of the best AFC teams but that might change, meh one game is not a season though as NE proved after the blow-out loss to KC on MNF. In other surprising news the Seahawks lose in OT and Kam (AFAIK) is still holding out.

The good thing for the Colts is they're basically destined to make the playoffs regardless because the division is just atrocious. But I don't think today defines that team at all. Going to Buffalo, possibly the best D in the league, in the first week of the season was not a good thing for them.

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock into Indy's loss. They can still right the ship and make it, though I still think they will have problems in deep playoff runs.

And yes, Seahawks had Kam holding out. The last TD would have been covered by Kam, had he been in the game.

Mariota isn't actually throwing terrible. He is making a few rookie mistakes and going up against Tampa Bay, but he doesn't look awful. His rollouts look good and his play action is good.

True. The Colts will make the playoffs. The Bills probably won't. At any rate, I hope Irsay brings in a new coach next year AND a new GM.

This is also the first week of the season, so upsets are more likely to happen. Nevertheless, I think the Colts are going to have big issues being outcoached all year long.

I think Irsay will have to bring in a new coach. Let's be honest, even if they just make the playoffs, that is regression from last year. They have to make the SB, and I don't think that is going to happen. They need an office that will address the issues everyone can see.

Bill Polian was an awesome GM. It went south when he put his kid in charge of drafting and player personnel. Grigson is a joke and the only reason he has his job is because of the huge talent that dropped in his lap in the 2012 draft (Luck, Hilton, Allen, Fleener). As far as coaches, not sure who Irsay could hire at this point but I'm sure it would be another disappointment. :D

Back to the Bills, after watching football for nearly 40 years, I have come to one conclusion - never trust a Ryan coached team. They're generally great coordinators (except the guy in New Orleans) but suck at being head coaches. I remember Saints fans bragging and making all these ridiculous memes when Rob Ryan became their DC - I just shook my head because I knew they were making fools of themselves. :D

Here is what will happen - the Bills defense will be very, very good and their offense will initially show flashes. Rex will same something fucking stupid like "Our QB is Tyranchise Taylor!" Taylor will regress, defenses will pounce on him, and Ryan will continue backing him until it inevitably costs him his job.

I kinda disagree with that one, Rex did get the Jets to the ACFCG twice and managed to boot NE out of the playoff's in NE. After he lost most of the talent to FA the Jets sucked record-wise but his guys always played tough for him. I think that as long as his QB doesn't give away games ala Sanchez Buffalo could be a serious contender, also remember that their best defensive lineman was missing from today's game in Marcell Dareus with a knee issue.

I think the Bills will be better than most, so long as the QB doesn't screw up. If the Bills were able to get a solid vet to manage the game at QB, they would be a much better team. Unfortunately, Taylor is unproven and likely going to have some screw ups that will cost them games.

It will be interesting to see that defense vs Brady/Gronk/Edelman next week but I won't use Thursdays game as much of a barometer as somehow Pitt managed to completely forget to cover Gronk at all. Brady must have thought it was an early X-mas seeing that crap, heck one one play they only had 10 defenders out there, they better fix that defense quick or a great offense will go to waste.

Yea, that can happen but with the defense as good as it is he will be asked to be more of a "game manager" type of QB with short, safe routes to throw to.

Saw a headline that Carroll is stating he didn't call that onside kick in OT, blaming it on the kicker.

He was out of the game because he's serving a 1-game suspension for marijuana.

I'm pretty sure that's why they kept Meh Cassel on the roster. Veteran backup in case Plan A goes to crap.

Just saw the replay of Pacman Jones slamming Amari Cooper's head against his helmet, can't believe he did not get ejected from the game.
