No updates?

Well, Warriors and the Wizards are both undefeated so far in the playoffs. 5-0.

I am so disappointed I missed the Spurs Clippers game. Only caught a little of the Warriors this afternoon as well.

I missed Game 7 as well. Granted, it was a good dinner party, but it could have happened literally whenever; there was no excuse for missing what was apparently an epic conclusion to an epic series. I watched the Warriors/Grizzlies today; boring. I mean, not really, because they're both great teams, but Golden State is just so good it's absurd. It's like playing against your friend in Live and he insists on using cheats. I literally passed out watching that game because after about 8 seconds it was clear the result was never in question, and certainty does not help with excitement. Unless you're talking Wiz/Hawks in which case my certainty was ill-advised.

What's Golden State's contract situation like? Can they keep that team as is for a while? They're going to win this year, clearly, and if they can keep their top 6 players together, I see several more championships in their future.

http://www.spotrac.com/nba/golden-state-warriors/yearly/cap/

Curry still has 2 years on a stupid good contract for GS and Klay just got the pre-capraise max (or close? I forget) so they're both locked in for now. Draymond is a restricted FA though and he is going to get paid for sure this summer. The Warriors probably won't let him walk but it's going to be expensive to keep him as well - that's their major hurdle right now as it could very well put them into luxury tax range unless/until David Lee's contract expires (end of next season) and/or the cap increases (probably next summer).

As long as they keep Draymond they're in good shape for at least two more seasons, though they will need to either re-sign or replace the bench production they could lose and (probably) try to keep Barnes without overpaying. Once they have to pay Curry like an MVP though it's going to change everything.

Once it is time they have to give Curry that max contract (and he deserves it, no doubt), they will be in trouble I think.

I have a feeling the knicks will throw stupid money at draymond green. It will be difficult to keep green at ~10 mil per.
Speights would opt out his 3mil per, i think this will hurt them the most. 3 mil for speights production is a highway robbery.
I would package david lee and barnes for some decent role players, i dunno may be faried and one of the forwards.

Great day for basketball today! Bulls take on the cavs, lets see how the cavs fair without Love, it should be all Lebron game. I will root for the bulls.

Clippers and Rockets is also a good game, both young and talented team. Lot of energy, I hope Rockets don't play dirty, keep it civil. I will root for clippers.

All young and talented teams, should be a fun series from here on.

I don't think you have any idea of the situation at hand. Draymond Green will get the max or really close to it and the Warriors will retain him. The warriors will not dump a young, cheap SF in Barnes just to get rid of Lee's contract. They may have to give up a pick to get rid of Lee's contract, but otherwise no way. If you have a championship caliber team, you pay the luxury tax for that opportunity.

God I hate the Clippers so much but I hate the Rockets even more.

Lets go Bulls - Golden State/Memphis finals!

Bulls with a great win in Cleveland! This next game is going to be a nice fight as well. Going up 2-0 and then coming home is certainly a great thing, if the Bulls can keep it up. Rose almost hurt again. Thankfully, he was just overreacting to his first stinger!

What a crappy game. Irving got midly warm late but still had a meh percentage. James seemed off the entire game and didn't change to challenge in the post. And the rest of the team was absent outside of some needed threes from Shump.

Cleveland needed to keep at least one at home with 2 guys missing to make it a best of 5 once JR gets back. After a first quarter no-show they spotted the only one they can afford.

I always thought Cavs season was over upon Kevin's unfortunate exit. IMHO Lebron is nothing unless surrounded by all stars and supported by referees. This match up might go to 6 or 7 games but in the end there is no way Cavs can win it.

I hated Clippers too, buy the way they played with the Spurs added up to something, I am still no fan of Chris Paul or Doc, but the rest of the team I like, overall they played with great discipline and character, if they maintain it, this will be their year.

Great win for Bulls.

I thought Bulls could've done much better, especially on Irving layups. How does a 6 foot guy gets so many layups on 7 footers.

I don't get it Noah, and dunk the darn ball for god's sakes.

Anyways, great win and a great job by Butler on Defense.

PS. James did get the calls (charge on Rose was NOT a charge).

I can't believe Clippers won.......without Paul, wow

I know, the way the Clippers are playing they look very strong. In their current form they can easily beat Warriors' one man army, and nobody in East got nothing compared to them so... it looks pretty good for them

Wow.

Friggen A the Clippers look solid. I was pulling hard for the Spurs, but so easy to love the Clippers right now vs the Rockets. Both teams dripping with talent.

Clippers feel like they've put it together. So many guys on that squad playing big now.

Love to see Clippers vs Warriors with winner to eventually face Cavs or Bulls.

Everyone is up and down. There is no consistency.

It's anybody's year IMO.

Team I'm most afraid of as a Bulls fan......Wizards. I said this before the playoffs even started.

The Warriors' one man army? I'm assuming you mean Steph Curry, in which case, you do know that Klay Thompson was an All-Star who set the NBA record for most points in a quarter this season, right? At the very least, they're a two man army, and that's completely ignoring how Draymond Green has stepped up on both ends of the floor. If you think a team whose depth chart prominently features Austin Rivers is easily beating a team whose depth chart features Marreese Speights, you're crazy. I've been very impressed by the Clippers, especially by how Blake is stepping his game up, but it takes some myopic hubris to assume the Warriors will be a pushover, especially if Paul isn't 100%. The Warriors are 100% healthy and won the season series 3-1... and you're confident in the upset?

But maybe we'll be treated to more of Paul's lockdown defense on Curry.

Reading his previous posts, I don't think he has any feel for an NBA game.

While I don't see the Clippers beating the Warriors easily, slowing Curry down and them playing slow (feeding Jordan and Griffin down low and not shooting a lot) could beat them. Granted, Paul hasn't shown to be able to slow Curry down much yet, he could step up. Griffin has been playing phenomenally against SA and I hope he can continue that against the Rockets.

If the Warriors get a high to mid tier big man though, they are unstoppable.
