You seem to get pissed if anyone says anything negative about the Cowboys period, and not just Romo. I remember posting a series of funny Jerry Jones pictures in one of the weekly NFL threads last year and you got all pissed.
I've actually been defending Romo to a lot of people lately.
I expect any fan to defend their favorite team. Some care, some don't - I do. And since I have a "reputation," I have no doubt that there's people who want to get me spun up. People don't have to be insulting, but they choose to.
eh, everyone hates Jerry Jones and the general smugness that must accompany the true believer's of "America's team" (no one outside of Dallas believes this) or "God's team," as they are also known.
That's why everyone has vocal, legit reasons to hate the Cowboys.
Also, the cracksmoking pederasts like Michael Irving that remain in their HoF.
That being said, I don't hate on Romo like most, but any self-respecting follower of the NFL understands that he's a lower tier-2 QB on his best day (that's actually not a horrible thing. More than half the league would gladly start him, I think).
SO this is what you were going-on about last night?![]()
The Cowboys never labeled themselves as "America's Team" - that was done by an NFL employee who was cutting tape for some previews for the upcoming season or game. Sorry, don't see this as a vocal OR legit reason to dislike a team, just a stupid one. As for the comment about Michael Irving, what about Chris Collinsworth, the old Raiders teams, Namath, and players on a lot of other teams that don't have great reputations? I very rarely see them knocking on those guys.
And on to Romo - here's some stats, I wonder if you can pick out Romo without looking it up.

The 3,500 column is how many 3,500 yard seasons they've had. These are the players:
Tom Brady
Terry Bradshaw
Eli Manning
Bart Starr
Roger Staubach
John Elway
Peyton Manning
Philip Rivers
Aaron Rodgers
Ben Roethlisberger
Joe Namath
Brett Favre
Tony Romo
Steve Young
Drew Brees
Joe Montana
Everyone knocks Romo because he doesn't have a ring from the Super Bowl - but last I checked, there are a lot of players on a football team. A QB can only carry them so far, the defense has to step up, there has to be a functional running game, etc. Listen to Colin Cowherd - he had a good segment on that this morning.
